We went to Jekyll island in elementary school. Brunswick/Savannah is the Georgia coast. The closest beach for people in metro Atlanta. Been down there several times.

Hey hey. I like the area down there especially around Savannah. But why is the water so dirty lookin? Haha been wonderin that. But its a great getaway from the A. Now for beaches that are relatively close? Panama city area got some great ones. Clearer water.

Never can compare a East Coast beach to a WEst coast beach. Not even close. but like someone else said I like the Southeast coast. Parts of it looks great. J-ville beach has a nostalgic look to it. Especially the bay.
