I just listened to Covert Coup by Curren$y it's a pretty dope album. I like the beats real mellow and laid back. Lyrically he went in even Prodigy had a dope verse. I give it 8/10

@Plap Star I'll listen to it now.

1. Show Your Tattoos- Good verse from Bun B the hook is corny. Decent verse from Webbie, wack verse from Boosie.

2. Swerve- Terrible hook, the beat is dope, Boosie being wack as usual, wack verse from Webbie.

3. U aint what u be talkin bout- decent beat, decent verse from Boosie. First decent hook. Webbie had a decent verse as well, best song so far.

4. Goin Thru Some Thangs- Decent verses from Boosie, Good introspective record. Stuff people can relate to.

5. Hustlin- Trash

6. Gangsta Musik- Decent verse from Webbie, I like the beat on this one.

7. Dance Wit You- Awful

8. Baby Moma- I can respect the message but this is wack

9. Fucked Up- This is top of the line wackness

10. Hope I make it- Terrible Boosie is so wack lol

11. Time Could Be Next- Relateable message but wack song.

12. Get On Ya Shit- Wack

13. Trouble Man- Decent beat and decent verses

14. Hold Up- Decent song

overall this album had its moments it started off promising but the songs in the middle were bad. At least the album closed on a decent note with Hold Up. 4/10

Nacirema Dream was a dope album. Vintage NY sound, I don't think too many southern heads might get with it tho. I suggest T/S to take another listen to Motion Picture, Mother Ghetto and Turn It Up, he was spittin on those and the beats were hard.

On a semi related note, FBG The Movie is on my personal top 10 albums/mixtapes of the year.

Bought a Phantom cuz I always wanted one!

fuckin right and young scooter's street lottery too. future and scooter together are a problem.

1. bring da ruckus

chinese shit wack, ghostface killah started off hard then just went into some random shit

raekwon had some alright parts except that suewoo shit,

the last two verses was fuckin wack, but the beat was straight

overall it was ok, made a nigga wanna fuck some shit up

2. Shame on a nigga

the beat some ol classic fat albert ass shit

odb come in like a crackhead, shit was just crazy and crackheadish

method man on his dr.seuss, one fish two fish red fish blue fish, wtf was this nigga talkin bout

raekwon was ight, verse was wack except the last bar

odb actually came in straight, but the rest of the verse proves he would be a much better mc if he didnt smoke dope

the beat carried this song, overall tho - it was fuckin garbage

3.Clan in da front

when this came on i knew it was gon be wack, is that the beat from the mac?

wtf was rza talkin bout

my ears started hurting listenin to this shit, that never happened before

lyrics - wack

beat -wack

overall wack

4. 7th chamber

random fact, id hate to live in ny with niggas that talk like that

raekwon was aight, nothin special

method man was ok nothin worth repeating

inspectah deck - stupid wack

ghostface killah - prolly best verse on the track

rza - wack

odb sound like he just took a hit off a pipe

gza - wack

overall it was wacl, all the extra wack verses made it unbearable, beat was wack as fuck too

made me feel like i was in a basement starin at a fuckin brick wall

5. Can it all be so simple

the beat funky, i fuck wit it

raekwon - hard verse

the chorus hard too

ghostface was straight

overall - so far this the best song on the album, no complaints from me

6. Da mystery of chessboxin

u god - wack

inspectah deck - straight verse

raekwon - ok verse, average

odb - crackhead shit AGAIN, why they let this nigga in the group

gfk - hard verse

masta killa - was aight, he came in hard droppin knowledge

overall - it was ok, plus it came right after a hard song, i almost forgot this track six

7. Wu tang aint nothin to fuck with

beat was on some crazy shit

first verse fuckin WACK, WORST VERSE ON THE ALBUM SO FAR

inspectah deck - wack

method man - it was straight but it was still on some abc 123 type simple shit

rappin wit phonics

overall - wack, beat and method man saved it

8. CREAM

the best song on the album

beat hard as fuck

raekwon went hard

inspectah deck verse was hard, better than raekwons

"A man with a dream with plans to make cream

Which failed; I went to jail at the age of fifteen

A young buck selling drugs and such who never had much

Trying to get a clutch at what I could not touch

The court played me short, now I face incarceration

Pacin' - going upstate's my destination

Handcuffed in back of a bus, forty of us

Life as a shorty shouldn't be so rough

But as the world turns I learned life is hell

Living in the world no different from a cell

Everyday I escape from Jakes giving chase, selling base

Smoking bones in the staircase

Though I don't know why I chose to smoke sess

I guess that's the time when I'm not depressed

But I'm still depressed and I ask what's it worth

Ready to give up so I seek the old Earth

Who explained working hard may help you maintain

To learn to overcome the heartaches and pain

We got stickup kids, corrupt cops, and crack rocks and

Stray shots, all on the block that stays hot

Leave it up to me while I be living proof

To kick the truth to the young Black youth

But shorty's running wild, smoking sess, drinking beer

And ain't trying to hear what I'm kicking in his ear

Neglected for now but yo, it gots to be accepted

That what, that life is hectic"

i cant lie i ran that shit back a couple times

but that song a classic and the only song i actually kno from wu tang

9. Method man

he starts off on his usual dr.seuss cartoon network animaniacs shit

i thought it was over till "i think i hear putty cat over there"

yippie yaa yippe yo, rawww ooche raw, hey hey hey like fat albert

then he start singin...........

WACK, STUPID WACK

this some ol silly clown ass shit

i aint no clown ass nigga i cant vibe with this shit

10. Protect ya neck

inspectah deck - ok, was straight

raekwon - wack

method man - wack, he should have wrotefor kriss kross back in the day, juvenile ass lyrics

u god - wack

odb - came on like a crackhead as usual, verse was crackhead nice, mc wack

like its hard if you was to hear a crackhead spit that shit at a gas station

but to be on cd, wack

gfk - wack

rza - wack but he was droppin knowledge

gza - wack

overall - wack but beat was ok tho

11. Tearz

rza- the story was hard but his flow fucked it up

ghostface made me a believer with his verse

"im not pumpin up, im airin out"

overall - okay

overall the cd was wack

i give it a 4/10

i only like raekwon, inspectach deck, and ghostfaces verses

everybody else shit was wack, and my only guess as to why this is considered a classic is cause of the beats

the absolute worst was rza and odb,i understand why rza was there, he had them beats

but why was odb allowed to be in the group........with or without him half of em wack anyway

but that nigga took the cake

at first i thought i didnt like it tilli listened to other shit that came out that year

commons can i borrow a dollar came out in 92 and sound ten times better than that

the chronic, ugk's hard to swallow, 8 balland mjg's comin out hard

enter the 36 chambers is mediocre compared to other shit that came out that year

i challenge you to listen to wu-tang forever double LP
