Forward Chris Bosh again will be missing for the Miami Heat for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center in the wake of the death of his grandmother.

Bosh had started all 34 games before missing Thursday's victory over the Portland Trail Blazers and Friday's loss to the Utah Jazz at the start of this three-game trip. There was thought he would return for Sunday's game.

Shane Battier started both games in Bosh's absence at the start of this trip, with small forward LeBron James moving into the Heat's power rotation in the interim.

Bosh's last action came during the All-Star Game a week ago in Orlando.

Miami and their big man problem, Riley needs to address that situation. If Eddy Curry ain't giving you what ya'll need, cut the mf and go get a decent big man because Anthony is undersize those other niggas are old or can't finish by the rim.

What's the point of having James Jones on the bench and not giving that nigga no run. Those shots that Battier and Haslem are bricking are automatic for Jones, Spoelstra needs to smart up.

Makes you wonder why they kept Juwan Howard. They might use Mike Miller as trade bait

Oh yea, Battier and Haslem's defense > James Jones

Howard is better than that big for nothing nigga Pittman. Big for nothing nigga double pumping 6 inches from the rim.

Yeah i know Jones is a defensive liability but the Heat play enough team defense where they could make up for his deficiencies.

He is a good shotblocker, but he is also not that good at rebounding (due to size) and he is piss poor offensively (free throws and around the rim). The Heat needs a capable big man on offense, someone like Gortat, Verajo or along those lines. I mean if you can't eat off the boards or get cheap points as a big man in that Heat system, then your garbage.

u dont have to be big to rebound just have tenacity and timing....what happened to eddy curry??

From what i heard Eddie Curry is having trouble playing the pick and roll defense so Spoelstra don't give him playing time. He isn't quick enough to play in the Heat system, i wouldn't be surprised at all if he doesn't play at all this season and comes in form next year.

As for Anthony, his size definitely is a issue when he goes against teams like LA, Chicago, and Orlando who have legit big men who can crash the boards.
