after hearing him bitch about the state of hip hop all these years and to seem him have Wayne/French/Juicy j on his album is hilarious and shows all these purist rap niggas are full of shit
1) He bought a Wayne verse the same reason everyone else does for a single - TO GET ON THE RADIO and you know what, it finally got him back on the radio after 10 fucking years so mission accomplished.
2) Everyone loves Juicy J. I don't care how goddamn conscious or "real hip-hop" you are, if you don't appreciate Juicy J you need to take your righteous "I wanna hear Mos Def in the strip club" azz the fuck home.
3) Montana......yeah imma Free Max B guy but he need to stick to hooks.
cool album good production albeit a little homogeneous, but Joe really love these piano driven beats nowdays.
actually, considering how HARD he went with the mainstream/relevant/pop/whatever in terms of producers and guest stars, its pretty impressive how he managed to keep it in his style. Its just like the rest of his post-Mood Musik 4 work, only w/ better mixing and bigger names.

oddly enough one of the most common complains about Joe Budden's music is that
"he's good when he's not on his emo shit"
he can do emo or he can just give you ridiculous punchline after ridiculous punchline. out of the early 2000s East Coast punchline rappers (Cass, Fab, Banks, Ali Vegas, Jae Hood, etc etc), he was the only one to really evolve into a complete artist imho.
