What's going on fellas...went and took the A+ exams today and passed!!

Hopefully employers will give me more of a chance.

Now on to Security+

good shit hommie. throw that joint on your resume and keep studying

How's thing going for you in the ATL? I'm think of moving down there once I get my CCNA. Anyway you can get me in the door? (No helpdesk)

its cool here, still growing on me. Job is a little stressful since i work for a bank and the only network engineer here. once you pass shoot me a pm and your resume and i can pass you onto my recruiter. My job here they're looking for CCNP's to assist me.

But I'm trying to get my CCNA. Would they still holla at me?

nah i was saying i wouldnt be able to get you on here at my job because they want a ccnp, but my recruiter (outside company) would be able to find something for you

King shoot me the info or job description for the position at your spot

Hey King Erauno, I'm racking my brain trying to understand how to troubleshoot. In particular Finding the matching route on the router. Here's the example:

172.16.1.1

172.16.1.2

172.16.2.2

172.16.4.3

In cases where a particular destination IP address falls within the IP address range for multiple routes, then pick the rout with the longest prefix.

I'm fucking confused. Can you break this down for a brother that's easy to comprehend?

So I passed my database administration class. I thought Java and other programming languages were WOAT but then came oracle and SQL statements. Horrible. As advanced as computers are they can't understand simple commands. Everything has to be some complex code. Learning mandarin would be easier.

Any of you fuck niggas got your CCIE yet? I know there was a good 4 or 5 of us going for that bitch. I got burned out and took a long ass break. Soon as Cisco release a book for the v4 blueprint and I can rent a rack with the right equipment, I'm going in breh!!!

Anyone have study guides to certs. I thought someone posted a link that had a bunch of study guides from Actual Test in here but I can't find it. Might have been the old thread.

I've resorted to working towards a Microsoft SQL Server certification..also use Skillport to brush up on skills and look into different types of certs (Oracle, SAP, Sharepoint, etc.). And I'm still looking for another job.

Thinking about getting into the IT field. I'm currently in school for food service management, but i feel like it's in my best interest to switch my career choice. To a more finacially rewarding one, then doing the food service management later. I wondering where should i start as far as getting my foot in the door as far as choice goes, because i might look into networking certifícation first.

I was gonna take the written a few months back, but once Cisco announced the v4 I just said fuck it. I'll probably take it next year once a good v4 book comes out and there's some rack rentals available based on the v4 lab.

For some reason I really wanna do the MCSE 2012 cert. But the same bullshit, new books ain't releasing until 2013.

More than anything I wanna take the GCWN, but SANS want a nigga to pay 5k for the shit

Yo king you took the v3 written yesterday?

yeah man. i got 75 out of 100. needed an 81. so close yo..smh. at this point im burned out..imma get on that v4 in a few weeks or so.

Damn son, sorry to hear that. What section did you do bad on? How would you summarize the exam?

I'm not gonna even think about the exam until this summer. I wanna make sure there's enough books out to cover the v4 topics and that I can find a company doing rack rental with the right equipment.

They added mad shit to v4:
https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/docs/DOC-15257

IronPort S series

Wireless Lan Controller 2500 series

Aironet 1200 series

ISE 3300 series

IP Phone 7900 series

I've never worked with ISE, WLC's, IP phones, or Aironet before. I got to mess around with IronPort and ACS though, so that ain't too bad. v4 gonna be a beast smh.

Man they added all types foolishness to this shit

On the real though when you ready to start up on the v4 lemme know. I'll start at the same time with you.

still wanna get into it security but imma worry bout that down the line. nigga tryna touch 50-60000/year by the end of 2013.
