Charlamange hatin because he sees that everyday strugg is the new wave, and know Breakfast Club is on its leg, havent been interested in breakfast club for at least a year and never fucked with the idiots shit, they are both corny in fact the white boy says he doesnt or has never listened to hip hop (cant remember which) on the idiots segment I saw on Ak's stream addressing the hating.

Yeah Charlamange is jealous of the setup of Everyday Struggle

The breakfast club is like espn and an outlet like complex is fox sports 1. By that i mean just like ESPN radio and tv the breakfast club is tied to specific industry guests and and more red tape on what people can do. Even with CTG being a strong personality like a Stephen A smith they are tied to time limits and who the execs decide to book.

This 4 days a week youtube specific everyday struggle show has potential to have the freedom to focus more time on topics than The Breakfast Club which outside of interviews has strict time limits and ways they can discuss current events. Even if everyday struggle folds or changes guests this formula has much more potential than The Breakfast Club which has it's moments but really is starting to get played out at times.

Gonna have to disagree. Breakfast Club is solidified. That's THE show, you go there to make a statement.

He has a point with Joe Budden tho - LHH, Slaughterhouse, his own podcast, Defjam, Desert Storm, relationships etc. If you look back he has a history of doing that. Fear of committment.

Desert Storm ended up being a wasteland tho

in 2017 nothing is solidified. In my opinion the Breakfast Club Peaked at the Birdman Fiasco. They have great content no doubt and will still get views. But the everyday struggle model where you have the freedom of no commercials and it being live with just 2 people have more long term potential than the Breakfast Club.

Everyday Struggles Blueprint is opening up hip hop media to be more like Pardon the Interruption and ESPN first take. Shit since Complex dropped everyday struggle it has gotten more memes and news stories than the breakfast club.

Akademics is a grown man, he can make his own choices. If he is at all familiar with Budden, then CTG isn't telling him anything he doesn't know and just by virtue of being there, he is increasing his audience.

Also, this show has some 'go' to it. Joe has always made entertaining shit on the internet, Nadeska is cute, and Akademics is bringing a new perspective and personality to the table.

The dynamics of this show are much more interesting than the Breakfast Club right now!

Breakfast Club is solidified but its not that new hottness. The way we consume media especially anything digital we are always seeking something newer, faster, sleeker and thats what everyday strugg is. ES is Netflix, Breakfast Club is cable television(pun intended).

There will be more shit like ES popping up, its interesting to hear great personalities cover hot topics and current events in a specific field. But the one thing that tops a great personality is a person that has actually worked in said field covering the same topics IE Jalen Rose, Joe Budden, Kenny Smith.

I fuck with Joe Buddens podcast heavy, I don't fuck with brilliant idiots at all! I like the breakfast club tho, that white dude annoying as fuck, maybe that's why. *shrugs*

Breakfast is nowhere near on its last leg...and as much as Shculz is annoying the "i don't know about music shit" is a long running joke they've been doing

BC is well aware of using the internet. Charlamagne has said before they have bonuses written into their contracts based on the views their interviews get that's why the milked the Birdman shit so much...because it made them money. Niggas got to stop thinking just because you don't fuck with something don't mean nobody else does

And they actually discuss the shit you're talking about in this podcast about hip hop needing different mediums to discuss certain specific things and how the dynamic between Joe and Akademics is what will keep people coming back as opposed to viral moments that will get a couple quick views and nothing beyond that

In the next few years if everyday struggle gains steam it will be a more daily watched and talked about show than the breakfast club. The biggest flaw of the breakfast club is they usually have 20 to 60 minutes with guests and 5-15 minutes about current events.

The issue is obviously year round they will have more views but on a day by day basis they only can talk about current events for a short time. Whereas a show like everyday struggle or a clone of it can talk more about current events and bring guests on only when it gets to a view worthy status of wale vs ak or yachty vs budden.

There's more to this thing than the format of the media.

Here's the thing. Charlamagn is is a household name because he has such a huge personality.

Not many people have a bigger personality than Charlamagne. He ruffles feathers and created the drama that gets the views that made the Breakfast Club as popular as it is.

Now it just so happens Complex has this new show starring one of the few people with a personality that surpasses Charlamagne's. Now I know it's cool to hate on Joe Budden and clown him for whatever but that animosity is a draw to Everyday Struggle. Being a fan is another draw. After that Yachty episode? People are tuning in just for meme potential. Who doesn't wanna see the hip hop grouch turn up on today's youth?

So you got fans of Joe, people who aren't fans of Joe, Akademics' fan base, people who already watch Complex's shit and who just wanna see what's up checking this new show out. This is indeed the new hotness. This shit is blowing up FAST. It's not Breakfast Club level yet but only six weeks in, it's doing major damage out here. It is THE topic of discussion. Plus, there's a level of transparency that's not present with the Breakfast Club.

This isn't something that Charlemagne doesn't know. The point I'm making is that Charlamagne is more threatened by Joe than Akademics, and sees his rising notoriety as a threat to his own. This is obvious because he not only threw shots at Everyday Struggle, but said some shit about his podcast as well.

I just feel Charlemagne had to start dissing just to insert his name into the Everyday Struggle conversation and Akademics is a bit too green and in too deep to see that.

As long as the BC gets those views it was be apart of the necessary 3 stop NY media tour of BC,Sway and Hot97...and saying something is on its last legs means its ending soon not a few years from now.

But my point is head to head to head the daily hip hop debate show has the potential to get more daily views. As much as i hate shows like first take and undisputed they get most views in sports media compaired to the other shows that are more interview based on sports channels.

The breakfast club still gets views. But i think more hip hop fans would rather see debate between 2 hip hop personalities about current events for 45 minutes than listen to the hit or miss breakfast club interviews. The biggest flaw with the breakfast club is you can't book a birdman every day or every week. Some weeks you have some very viral videos other weeks the people are not as interesting. But a daily hip hop debate show is literally taking what we talk about at the top of the reason and putting it in video form. And that has the potential to get people watching more and commenting more consistently at some point in the future than the breakfast club vids.

the bolded is an excellent point. we can't always get the Dame Dashes and Fredro Starrs which then leads them into trolling or doing other shit trying to force reactions like the Kanye West interview.
