anybody been checkin out combat jack anymore or is he fall off status?

I used to think Combat Jack was the goat, his interview with R.A. the Rugged Man was one of the best episodes, you got Biggie stories, Biz Markie stories, fucking crazy ass white boy stories, the one with ?uestlove and Chris Rock was also dope. I dont even check for his shit anymore, i stopped caring about the interviews after a while.

Yea he was one of the first I listened to starting off. Last few I heard were Freeway, russell simmons n the dirty cop episode. Just checked out his SoundCloud hes got a lot more good guests ima probly check out his shit is kinda boring tho

In the latest episode of the Drink Champs podcast, Akinyele speaks with fellow Lefrak City native (and friend) N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN about his political aspirations, his foray into strip clubs, and why he charged Khaled nothing for the rights to sample “Fuck Me For Free.” To Hip-Hop fans, the discussion about Akinyele’s early 1990s days may be most interesting. 

Akinyele provided some interesting context surrounding the eventual 2000s battle between Nas and Jay Z. In 1991, Main Source and Jaz-O (a/k/a The Jaz) would co-headline a tour, promoting Breaking Atoms and Ya Don’t Stop, respectively. This was where the famed Jay Z takeover line “I showed you your first Tec, on tour with Large Professor / Then I heard your album about your Tec on your dresser” allegedly came to be—and Ak’ says it’s 100% true.

Finally got around to listen to Immortal Technique on Brilliant Idiots and it was great, i never considered stop saying any word 'til i hear him say the "who was the first person to call someone a bitch? slavers used to call that to black women when they were pregnant" shit, it really made me stop.

I remember why i had to take a break from listening to his shit because most of the time is so infuriating.

Also the whole thing with a person doing shitty as grafiti is considered somehow equal to someone doing some dope street art with a message "its the same reason why hip hop is in such a fuck up state".
