I don't resonate as Drake a fan but I don't dislike him either. He makes good music, although very one dimensional and be can spit despite all the ghost writing stuff. With that said, this tape is unbearable. I didn't like IYRTITL since that sound didn't work well wit him but this is worse. Outside of the 30 for 30 freestyle, he was just forcing himself to be on future's level. Which is why I get he needs ghost writers to write dumbed down lyrics.

I never heard a future project til just now and I'm ok with that. I couldn't make it past half these tracks. I see what sion is saying. This is just Drake gettin on that Future wave. The subtle shots at Meek were funny. Overall... Ppl fuck wit it, cool. For me, slam dunk in the recycle bin

A ghostwriter for help writing dumbed down lyrics....interesting thought. Usually its for writing lyrics that sound more in depth than usual. It'd be funny to see a rapper have to get help to sound more simplistic

It's not that far fetched of an idea. Considering he didn't write his verse on Rico which was trash & very generic, in comparison to most his verses in his career. You never know, some folks may need that help writing ABC bars. All you need to do is listen to that 30 for 30 freestyle and listen to the rest of his verses on this shit. There's a drastic shift in focus & quality.

I thought the same thing. Sounds bass ackwards at first, but I'm almost certain that Comeback Season Drake is the "real" Drake. 30 for 30 Freestyle is his lane. All the wave riding shit, he probably does need help.

I feel like he's closer to being a "real spitter" than people give him credit for. I mean, Hell, he credits Phonte of Little Brother as being a big influence on his style. Anyone who says that puts emphasis on lyricism. But we all know that type of shit will never get the credit it deserves.

This trendy shit --while cool to party and bullshit to -- some people are more natural at it. Mos def not excusing the ghostwriter shit, but that scenario, in this instance, actually sounds more plausible to me.

On the very first track, "Digital Dash," Drizzy raps, in his first verse late into the song, "I might just take Quentin to Follies."

He's presumably referring to the Follies strip club in Atlanta, though he uses the club's name to joke that he may take Quentin to a theatrical performance full of impersonators. Though maybe he just wants to award Miller with a few racks for his work on IYRTITL.

In any case, this is the first time Drake has explicitly mentioned Quentin Miller by name since the initial ghostwriting accusations. It's good to see that he's not afraid to have a laugh about the whole thing.
