i think its some that think what rappers say is gospel but that dont mean they necessarily do it cuz the rapper did it, they just think its gospel cuz of the similarities in they circumstances, but like u said, more need to think independently. i just think its weak to try to blame rap or music period on shit, shit its a lot more worse and even more vivid examples that dont get as much blame, but some how "gangsta rap made em do it"? nah sun, not buyin it.

To be completely honest, I believe EVERYTHING (ok, most things media-wise) marketed to Black people is poisonous, movies, TV, not just rap music. Hell even R&B's subject matter nowadays is pretty much integrated in what many may deem as "hip hop culture"

Some of you folks really cant grasp the concept that this shit just isnt good. We not talking solely about the artists, its the actual project. I have all of Drake's music but his last 2 projects have been mainstream generic garbage. Its nothing more than a money grab for Drake. I cant speak about Future since I dont really listen to him like that but from the samples I got, he knows his lane and ppl like him, cool. Thats about it. This project tho, its just not good. I heavily suspect Views from the 6 will be supremely better.

I don't resonate as Drake a fan but I don't dislike him either. He makes good music, although very one dimensional and be can spit despite all the ghost writing stuff. With that said, this tape is unbearable. I didn't like IYRTITL since that sound didn't work well wit him but this is worse. Outside of the 30 for 30 freestyle, he was just forcing himself to be on future's level. Which is why I get he needs ghost writers to write dumbed down lyrics.
