I said earlier in a post. I think him being white matters more to his White fans so, I would say amongst his white fan it's about 99.0%. His Black Fans it's probably maybe 20%.

So does it matter to the white hip hop consumer that Lil Wayne is black? Or Ye is black? Or 50 is black? Or Jay-Z is black?

You cannot say that being white matters MORE than being a good hip hop artist.

It comes down to being able to enjoy the content and being able to vibe to it.

I've heard a very very few, I'm talking like ONE to maybe THREE people say they like him solely because he's white THEN like his stuff AFTERWARDS.

You do realize Nelly sold 9 Million the same year Eminem did right? You realize 50 Cent sold 8 Million a year after Eminem sold 8 with "TES" right? Eminem wasn't the only one movin units so stop the nonsense.

50 cent is Eminems sales lol. and ty for proving my point, emienm made "HIP HOP" peak as in 50 cent.

p.s. careless about fucken R&B bitches, you bumpen R.Kelly lol?

its peak as in it will never be a commercial success again, eventually the genre will die, no one will get signed and it will be dead as rock is. I guess some niggas dont believe in "history repeats itself".

like every genre it fades out, how many Mozarts you know going platinum? Eminem give hip hop live after Tupac, and did it even bigger.

And most of us who remember Hip Hop from the 70's 80's and 90's can't wait for this commercial shit to die. I am longing for the day when I can walk into a lounge (much like a jazz lounge) and just hear some phat beats with an MC spitting some fly shit.

Eminem making hip hop mainstream was a good thing and bad thing, time for a nigga to get over it.

Are you white? If, so very typical. This isn't an everyone sitauation!!! Check your homeboys and their posts?

Am I white, yes I AM WHITE! Being white has nothing to do with liking Eminem. Honestly when I first SEEN dude I was like, "oh wtf is there a white dude rapping for"?? Pop in the TAPE into my tape player and the MMLP shows me WHY he's a DOPE EMCEE. I don't like him on his skin color, it didn't even HELP. I would like him if he was BLACK.

Their posts? They're beyond stans tbh, they ain't even close to being my homeboys. I wouldn't want them as homeboys, the way they talk/type and ride Eminems dick it's disgusting. I'll admit Em's flaws, I've been doing that since day one.

This is AN everyone situation. How the fuck can you say, "Since whites are the majority fan base of Em (A WHITE RAPPER) then he solely sales on being white" then when I give other BLACK RAPPERS that have a HUGE WHITE fan base you try to imply it doesn't work that way? Bullshit. I don't see how that works. It SHOWS it's not because they base it SOLELY on skin color. They base it on being able to LIKE the music.

Being white did HELP Eminem, but it's far from being SOLELY the reason or even being CLOSE to the reason he's so popular.

Nothing to shake at. Many Blacks move on from certain parts of their lives. Just like some dead heads trade in their Tydye for a suit and tie. Blacks Move on. I have most of the WU discography but you won't catch me at a show. I have a family and other important shit to do. And most young Blacks have already move from Wutang to the next hotest Black Music creation. Whites will catch on to that as well and soon be flooding the place. Just like they do a Wu concert.

Yea but not all of us blacks have family and other important shit to do. I have been to 3 Wu concerts over the last 10 years and its been the same crowd everytime. Granted I wasnt able to see them back in the 90's for some reason I wanna believe that the crowd was the same. Most of those white ppl that Im speaking of are the ones in the pit getting crunk and rapping every word line for line with the Wu. I salute them niggas while we got cats on here complaining about records sales being taken seriously when the real topic should be "Why doesnt our black people support our artist"? And we wonder why talented artist like Masta Ace, Pharaoh Monch and Killer Mike are struggling to find labels and or getting their shit released.

you seem to be senative about Eminem, cant get over fact hes a legend that can sell :)

btw why do niggas never bring up fact MJ being Black helped him move units, n9ggers be bias as fuck, im lovin it, you fools as educated as Nas rapping about history in "I Can"

Eminem sells cause his songs dont put you to sleep, ni99ers need to start buying albums and shut fuck up. Fucken white people had to make NWA popular for are race.
Im not sensitive at all, if I was Id probally be using profanity, name-calling, insults and aliases.

I can actually make a post without calling people niggas or boy like sensitive people do. Or when in doubt bring "Nas" into a conversation.

If Emenim says "If I was Black I would have sold half" I believe him, because unlike the delusional "Stans" that he rapped about I understand the science behind his success.

There are 100 people left at the population mall.

75 white people walk into a record store to buy a hiphop album
25 Black people walk into a record store to buy a hiphop album

The 75 white people want something they can vibe to and enjoy from their perspective, from someone from their culture rapping about things they can relate to. A rapper that shares an understanding of their cultural specifics. Someone with as many similarities to themselves as possible.... Who's album would they choose??

How many choices do the 75 whites have??
How many choices do the 25 Blacks have??

Lets say 50 of the whites bought Emenim because their is no other major label white rapper being played on the radio and television, their choices are very narrow. The other 25 just bought various rappers.
thats 50 albums sold for Emenim

Lets say 10 of the Blacks bought JayZ, because he's always on the radio and television but the other 15 people....... 2 bought "Nappy Roots, 3bought The Roots 4 bought B.O.B, 6 bought Drake,

thats 10 albums sold for JayZ

So who's gonna sell more records at the end of the day???

Its simple mathematics & demographics, population and the buying public.

Yes, it does matter. As, I am sure they're plenty of White consumers that would rather support white artists then Wayne, YE or 50.

I sure can say that as their have been plenty of MC's better then and perhaps on par with EM that haven't received the accolades and sales.

If you say so!!! But most whites are in the denial anyways. Just like R&R, Blues and Jazz. Whites have enjoyed more sales and financial success then Blacks. This is nothing new.

Because, you haven't heard this outright means nothing.

why do you deny eminem gave hip hop more life, and peaked it in terms commercial appeal. why is this only genre where its bad to move units lol. sorry i dont want hip hop to go down the road "rock" and other genres did but you do.

10 eyars from now, your gonna be old fart and your kid will be telling you to turn off that dinosaur shit, and your kid will be right. Eminem impact made hip hop cool for couple more years, and im grateful for that.

Em didn't do anything of the sort but ok. Niggas never got under it. It's for whites to come out of their delusional state. No matter how many records Em sells he will never be recognized amongst Blacks as the greatest anything within Black Music. Just like Elvis, Pat Boone, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Kenny G will never be recognized as the greatest of anything within Black Music.

What about the 12 black people that took their money and bought a bootleg State Property dvd, Gucci mane shittape, a bag of gizzards, and some air ones at the local flemarket/swap meet?

They also say things like "Black Boy" and "It's in Black People's Nature". They just let their racism come out. They all probably have "Foolish Pride" in thier Ipods. If it was on Itunes it would of gone Platinum.

This is exactly what I have been trying to tell you brothers, look at the fans he attracts.
These are the whites that you consider your freinds, they say what they truly feel about you once they are hidden behind a computer.

Do you know the amount of psychopathic-racisim it takes to be a white racist on a Black website dedicated to Black music?!?!?

What other rapper has fans like this???
