Hustling coke, how much money he has, how many cars and fly clothes he has, how he was a Boss etc
I've seen a few posters ignorant ones say only white people relate to his topics such as growing up poor in Detroit, growing up in a dangerous enviroment, growing up in a single parent home, loving his daughter and supporting her, troubles with his wife, trouble with the law, politics etc
Isn't it ignorant to say only whites can relate to those topics and been through those situations and blacks have never experienced that or related to those things?
Isn't it kinda idiotic to say a black person can not appreciate or relate to such a universal topic such as loving your child and wanting to take them out the hood and provide for them?
You've got tracks like 97 Bonnie & Clyde which deal with Eminem's problems with his ex wife there is probably a million black people right now going through problems with their wife or baby mother but on this particular track Eminem went extreme he told a story about killing his wife i can understand a black person particularly would't relate to killing their partner even if they were going through problems but Eminem didn't make that Song for people to literally relate word for word it was just him being creative
But then you also have a Song like Superman which isn't violant or extreme that deals with problems with your partner or females in general so how can a black person not relate to that if they ever had drama or heart ache with their loved one?
Seem's like people are insecure if they feel you can't relate just cos its a white person speaking on these things
Are people gonna really say the majority of people who are consumers of Eminem's records know anything about growing up in poverty in a City like Detroit? on welfare with no father having to work a minimum wage job? people on the IC really think think these whites people from the Suburbs who purchase Eminem's records know any of that lifestyle?
People gonna tell me a white kid from a Suburb can relate to a Song like Soildier where Eminem talks about his case for pistol whipping a bouncer? seriously?
