Yo and I called that shit back in December in the 2016 predictions thread word to @2stepz_ahead . I got the shining. I knew after IYRTITL and WATTBA they were gonna go all out on the next rollout. The rollout was too much: 0-100, hotline bling, back to back, summer sixteen literally built the buzz and anticipation. They marketed it extremely well.

Seems like hardcore Drake fans think it's dope. Regular Drake fans are torn between bitterly disappointed and 'yeah quite good'. Everyone else thinks it's wack.

I dont really care for the internet joke angle but music-wise this is good music. I don't like the song with Future and the song after it. Everything else has replay value.

For youngins, black twitter, the Jordan cry face folk, etc, folk who just want metro boomin on every track, i can see why it would get bashed, its a low key album. But i personally would have never listened to Drake if he was always on the If you're reading this/what a time to be alive angle.

The drake is used to fuk w/ was b/c of So Far Gone, songs like Fear, Cameras, etc.

So basically Drake is no longer a rapper, categorize it however, but musically I fuk with it.

I wont even say 'drake fans', just people who liked So Far Gone and Comeback season. He finally did what people been askin imo. He made So Far Gone 2. That's my immediate takeaway

The problem for him is he's way bigger now so he's got a generation of fans who could care less about and just want What a Time to be Alive 2.

I think people just need to accept this is who Drake is. A lot of people that don't really fuck with Drake are the listeners who feel he should be doing something else.

We all know Drake can't really sing but the harmonizing, mellow, pseudo deep shit is Drakes lane and dude is good at it.

I haven't listened to the album fully yet but what I've heard it sounds like a continuation of his sound.
