I stream music myself but I also purchase albums from certain artists digitally and physically like exclusive vinyl I'm talking about royalty payout and how they calculate that into album sales, since no one is really buying these album how does the rules change due to streaming something doesn't make sense to me because I'm technically paying spotify/tidal/ not the artists in general so technically royalty payout are still pennies on the dollar streaming services technically lowered the value of music to a certain degree in my eyes.

Even if someone only plays 6 songs from the album, 1500 is alot of fuckin plays. You'd have to listen to those 6 songs for 8 hrs straight everyday for 2 weeks to = 1 album sale.
