No he won't! They'll give it Jay & best hip hop song categories will either go to Kanye, Jay, Drake, or Eminem since they released songs within the deadline!!!

On 1st listen its forgetable, and I typically i have no problem with Drake's soft/sing-heavy music nh This is just overboard though. Like nggas these hoes still stressin u out?

But even with that, if the music was good i'd be able to stomach it. But its not. To quote Jay z on Fade to Black, 'This ngga need to get out the basement'. Its too somber.

Idk, maybe i need to be more depressed to appreciate it. 2nd listen comin up...Oh, and Jay z is hilarious on Pound Cake.

I'm a fan of music 1st so I gave it a fair listen over the last several days. And I'm sorry, it's an RnB album with some rap verses. It's way to slow. If Drake wants to be Keith Sweet, Trey Songz or whoever, Fine. But stop calling this rap cause it's not rap. "Pound Cake" was the standout track as Jay bodies Drake for the 2nd time. "Tuscan Leather" was cool cause of the Whitney sample but I can't help but feel it was a wannabe Just Blaze/KanYe/Heatmakerz beat. I never liked the messenger of "Started from the Bottom" but I always loved the message so it is a banger. "Hold on where going home" is this album "Find your love" so I don't mind it. "From Time" did touch my soul but not cause of Drake but cause of Jhene angelic vocals. "Too Much" is cool but once again all the songs are way to RnB.

I know Drake said he will "Never make a straight up Hip Hop album again" then cool, get out of the rap category then. As for the little rap songs there are. "Worst Behavoir" was decent but taking the Ma$e bars sounded way to forced. At least when Jay did it on Magna Carta you could see why it fit the song. I felt like Drake was pandering to us 90's heads. Speaking of pandering to 90's heads, "Wu Tang Forever" still doesn't do it for me. The title takes me out of the song but it's not a horrible track. Being that I grew up on Wu and know Wu to the core I cannot associate this track with their legacy. Hopefully the remix makes it better. "Own it, Futherest thing and Connect" were all pretty average. The strip club track "305 to the city" was also pretty basic. I'm shocked "No New Friends" wasn't a bonus track.

"The Motion" was and that song is cool but once again, to much singing. Sorry the album is soft, way to much simping subject matter. Female oriented tracks are cool to an extent but not an entire LP of that. Lyrically rhymes and flow wise Drake was going through the motions, Pun intended. He just isn't evolving as an artist. This album was a safe album and it should been called "Everything is the SAME" cause he did nothing new on this. I give it a 3.5. Not horrible but it just didn't grab me outside of a few cuts. On Par with "Thank Me Later" even though that album had more bangers and not better than "Take Care". But stop calling this Hip Hop. At this point Drake leaning way more to the RnB side to me. I definitely think this album will drop in sales from his last. This album actually made me appreciate his 1st two cause I think those albums will be considered his best work (So far so gone was good but it was a mixtape at the end of the day)
