crazy dude with a lot of turmoil in his life. spits with raw emotion (or its the crack lol), has put out a lot of content and was once one of the hottest rappers in the game. had 5 albums debut at number 1.

what are your thoughts on dmx as an artist? any classics?

When DMX came out with Ruff Ryders the game needed him, there was a lot of popular bullshit at the time. His emotion and style quickly separated him from a lot of rappers at the time and made him one of the best, if not the best. DMX had three dope albums, I wouldn't call his first two classics but they are close. Man couldn't get over his demons and let crack fuck up his career and life.

I can also agree with "waste of talent". without the demons in his life X might have been one of the goats.

Lyrically, he was an earlier version of 50. He was something new something fresh at the time. But over the years and going back listening to his music you could tell he had limited lyrical capabilities. He was all bark and no bite (corny pun intended)

I like all his albums for different reasons. I disagree with most when they say only his first 2 or three albums were good. I fucks with them all. Some less than others, but I still fucks with them all.

he brings it on all his albums. the first three were when he was in the zone though. great depression he fell off a lil, and than came back with grand champ which is pretty solid.

Yeah, but a lot of his verses on all his albums were written before he was even signed. And I loved the Great Depression. Only a song or two that I don't play.

In the clip of him speaking on main page.. almost liek when he speaks on his relationship with god, he get that energy in his voice, as though he abotu to bust out with some lyrics lol i really hope that he come back out of jail AGAIN. but keep his head up and self clean from all the BS he was once doing.

He is REAL. i think when people want to see how real a rapper is or who is the realest, i think right now he is the realest. His whole life is so real it ain;t funny.
