and there's no Robin in Frank Miller's Year One - in Dark Knight Returns Robin is female so not sure what you're on about

not really any character traits i can see between John Blake and Jean-Paul Valley, even if he was renamed. Valley was a college student that finds out he escaped some ancient order of assassins and was brain washed. check out Batman: Sword of Azrael for his origin. he was a security guard at Wayne Enterprises when he started training with Batman and Robin but that's about as close as it gets

yea pretty much

he was Tim Drake in how he figured out Batman's identity and shows up one day knocking at the door. he was Jason Todd with the mean streak/troubled early childhood (single Dad killed for gambling debts) and Dick Grayson as the orphan. Maybe the cop thing did come from Jean-Paul being a Wayne security guard but that's a stretch

If they go forward with the end of this film I see them going in a Batman Beyond direction. Fox/Wayne industries develops a suit that enhances his speed/power and he uses Waynes fortune to fight crime. If not I don't see why they threw that in there and I've heard rumors hollywood is banking on it being the next big franchise.

although i think this was the weakest of the trilogy, it was still very entertaining..one can find a few things to nitpick on but it didn't stop the film from being a success.

Let's keep things in perspective though with the so called 'issues' literally every movie in the history of movies can be nitpicked and issues found.. Shawshank Redemption is rated number 1 on IMDb but still nobody can explain how he changed from the middle cell to the cell at the end or tacked the poster after going through the hole. doesn't matter though does it? in The Godfather it's clear as day that Sonny's punch doesn't connect but who gives a fuck?
