Man I'm a shotgun lover for life, but I been playing the past couple of days with that M8A1 and that shit is vicious. Put a decent site and grip on it and you're like walking death.

I still have a hard time understanding how people claim the shotguns are OP when you basically have weapons on this game that can kill faster from anywhere on the screen except point blank range and have far less recovery.

Shotguns are overpowered. Long barrel and laser attachment and they are straight cheese.

They aren't overpowered. They are easy to get a lot of kills with without having a lot of skill, but they aren't overpowered. ARs and SMGs are easier to rack up kills with because you are deadly from anywhere. With Shotguns, if you ain't running up on people, you're screwed even with the laser and long barrel.

Bruh, did you read what you just said? You can get a lot or kills without much skills but its not overpowered... that is the one of the main reasons it's overpowered.

And who's using a shotty and not running up on people?

If you use the shotty mainly that's cool but they are overpowered.

There is a difference between something being a good starter tool/weapon/character and being overpowered. Yes, shotguns are good for new players. They will allow them to get kills while they learn the game and develop their skill. But once the skill has been developed, there are better guns out there plain and simple. You see all those videos people keep putting up of people getting ungodly numbers of kills? How many of them were with a shotgun?

Shotguns are not overpowered plain and simple. I see plenty of shotgun users, but rarely are shotgun users in the top 3. Shotguns are only good for a Run-n-Gun style and despite the stages being smaller in this game, this is still not a Run-n-Gun friendly FPS. This isn't Unreal Tournament. Every match will have people posting up in clever locations taking shots at you.

I see a lot of shitty snipers, especially the ones who have that quick fire sniper. I'll run and hear/see the sniper going off and they'll miss like 5 times before they hit me.

I have one of my classes with a semi auto sniper. Honestly I hate sniping though. I rarely even use that class, but the whole reason I chose it is because the gun didn't feel like a sniper rifle.
