I was reading the biting thread and started talking with my brothers and we all came to the conclusion that the lines Jay did take from Biggie were used better by JayZ.

Not taking away anything from Biggie he had a great flow and was awesome at his story telling, but he is way over hyped here online.

JayZ just seems to be able to do everything Biggie did and do it much better, I do not understand how anyone can be mad at Jay for taking and improving Biggies rhymes.

Biggie had a better flow, presence & storytelling ability while both are equal in content and lyricism. Jay didn't do everything better, he's just got more wordplay and a more extensive catalog as well as records sold.

And Jay did not use BIG's words better IMO.

honestly untill they were pointed out and shown to me I never knew what lines were originally Biggies so I would still say Jay made a lot of them more publicly recognised to my generation and when coompared to the originals I like Jays songs better then Biggies

Maybe that's because you weren't into BIG like you were Jay-Z. That's the only way of not knowing. If

I am a 90's baby so Jay has always been popular as long as I have been paying attention to music, I have heard the originals from Biggie and was more impressed by Jay for the most part, not always lol
