I hated Action Bronson when I first heard him for sounding to much like Ghostface.

But the more I listened I noticed he's got his own style and he's one of my favorites now.

Rare Chandeliers was really good.

this is exactly what i thought when i heard his voice, never heard him before but i was like damn soundin like ghostface

And claims a neighbor hood where nobody ever heard of him or his crew

lol, yes, no one in Harlem knows who ASAP Rocky is. :))

Nobody knew who he was until he signed a deal and started collaborating with other artist and hands on the wheel got played every other minute on hot 97.

I asked my boys from the polo grounds who ASAP was after liveloveasap came out and nigga said "as soon as possible" I proceeded to tell him asap is a rapper from his area he said oh word never heard of him must be wack. He was right.

That's nothing new. Most artists don't start getting major exposure til they sign a deal or blow up from a mixtape.

Do you know how small Harlem is??? its like a 40 block 2 mile long neighbor hood, so you mean to tell me not 1 nigga i spoke to form his block knew nothing about this guy before his mixtape? if niggas in your neighbor hood don't fuck with you and you still rep em yous a punk.

You can stop hanging with people in your immediate area. Everybody always ask about me and want me to hangout but I just hang in different place. Apparently Rocky hanged more in lower/mid Manhattan.

he lived in NJ also.

You kinda right, I seen a video of him chilling in soho/ chinatown which explains his gay fashion. He need a stop claiming Harlem and claim soho then cause we don't want him

Just for a year or so

i see the new trend is if you like a rapper coz of their previous dope work you gotta overrate the shit out their albums... This got like 5 dope tracks outta 15... It's ait but a little disappointing

Nah, i don't think so. At least, that's not the way i go about it.

I liked his previous work and was excited for this project

but i'm gonna listen to it with a critical ear either way.

And i found this album's tracks consistently good; production is top notch and rocky does his thing.

The only track i don't like that much is "wild for the night" so that makes 14 out of 15 tracks that i really dig.

It's extremely rare for me to like almost every track on an album.

I'm not gonna call it a masterpiece or a modern classic or anything crazy.

That would be really pushin' it but i do enjoy it a lot (been on repeat since the leak) and a lot of other people seem to enjoy the fuck out of it as well.

If it's a little disappointing to you, i can understand that cuz at the end o' the day, music is still subjective for the most part.

Or maybe ppl just like the album, its very similar to Liveloveasap anyway

I really dig this album. I give it a solid 8/10. Like homie said up top, 14/15 tracks I enjoy BUT this is not a classic. Just some rider shit. I was really hoping clams casino handled a majority of the production.

First body of work from dude I listened to...always sounded like a faggot and recent pics never helped...

That being said...can't hate on this shit...it's a nice album....

Somehow, the essence of hiphop is all through this shit...

Confused at what he represent...sound like a south nigga for someone from up top...

I could imagine Stalley debut sounding like this...

Everyone went in on the Train...remind me of a modern I Shot Ya..

Taking it in while smoking a nice bag o weed, and my head bobbing...give it a 7/10...

Features got the best verses tho...

KL beasting right now, it's all good...bringing out the best in others too..

I tried to tell niggas, say what you want about ASAP but the production gonna be fire and he's gonna have a good variety of sounds/music on this shit if it's anything like his past work.
