@Stew @BDBIID are we still running the weak ass 3-4 defense that we haven't truly had the personnel to run for the last 7 years???

LOL Manusky ran a 3-4 in his previous DC stints so imagine we stay the same which is why I'm hoping we go after the best DL available at the top of the draft. Shit has been so stagnant since we switched.

Bruh!!! When we ran the 4-3 in the early/mid 2000's we stayed having top tier solid ass defenses. I've said since 2010 that we're running a defense that doesn't fit our strengths. I want a good D lineman, but I want our secondary and LB play to improve as well. If Reuben Foster or Dalvin Cook, or Hooker from Ohio state slide to us I would pissed if we didn't take him. ESPN had us taking some nigga from Missouri that I had never heard of a D lineman. I really just want us to take the best player available.

I've been wanting the 'Skins to change back to the 4-3 for years. Other than some select standouts we've never had consistency with that scheme. I agree they need to go best player available for this draft.

What if OJ Howard is BPA at 17? @moyo

c2nfdfprml7h.gif

@Stew pass on OJ, we got J. Reed.

lol yall keep saying BPA so I had to ask.

Yeah it is that is the reason that is the only skins game I'm going to this season

@"5th Letter"

With the 6th pick in the NFL draft the New York Jets select...

Marshon Lattimore, cornerback. Ohio. State

We would prefer to take Adams, but he wont be there at 6.

If someone offers us picks for the 6th pick to trade up and take Trubisky. We will trade down and take the best player available or a Tackle.

Marc123 has spoken.

I don't think OJ will be there @ 17. But if he was, you'd have to pull the trigger. Besides him being crazy explosive for his size, he's a damn good blocker. Reed is a lil' fragile and it never hurts to have two good/great TE's. Although you do have Pryor and Crowder, it still helps fill the void of losing a possession guy like Garcon (and big play of DJ to an extent).

@MallyG I feel u on that, but the Redskins need to focus on that defense first and foremost. All 3 levels.

Good points. Another factor is, you keep him from the Giants cause they will surely draft him if we don't. Or you could use him as trade bait. But yea this is all hypothetical, I don't think he'll fall that far either.

I feels ya too, yalls defense does need improving as well as ours (Ravens), but I was jus speaking from a BPA standpoint. In the middle of the rounds, the best defensive players are gone, still really good talent, but it's a notch below.

We need EVERYTHING in the 1st Round.

I think this is the year the Browns get it right. I think they will leave the 1st Rd with Garrett and one of the top ranked QB's either Trubisky, Watson or Mahomes. Garrett is the safe pick and the QB pick is the hit or miss QB pick that can speed up the rebuilding process.

Corey Davis in the first, trade Matthews, a 4th rounder, and next years 3rd round picks from the Pats to 49ers for this years second. Draft Mixon and Conley. #flyeaglesfly lol

I like that Mahomes kid and i hope the 9ers draft him

There is a first time for everything but no QB that has played in the system that Mahomes did has made the transition to the NFl and became at least a good QB.

That would be a p.r. nightmare

I put this shit up back on New Years' for my squad....let's see what they do:

So, with the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia this year, the front office is going to have REAL pressure on them. And they should. Here's how I see this team:

Positions the Eagles are set at (at least for next year):

QB (the no-longer-rook NEEDS to study film and tweak his mechanics, but he's the dude in Philly till 2030 if he wants to be)

TE (Ertz is a stud, and Trey Burton can replace Selek in a year or two)

K

P

LS

C

DT (Special ups go to Brandon Graham. He SHOULD be in the Pro Bowl. He and Cox make that line MEAN. Benny Logan should be back, too)

Positions it wouldn't bother to tweak a bit:

D. End - Look into whether Barwin witll take that pay cut. If he does, bring him back, if not, look at that 2nd 4th round pick to replace him.

Guard - 3rd round pick should be focused here. Not sure if Brandon Cooks or Seumalo are the long term answers.

Tackle - I wouldn't mind drafting someone just incase Peters goes down (cause he's always good for one injury per season), but he and Lane Johnson are the keys to that line, which is better when they both are there. (Eagles are 5-1 when Lane Johnson played)

Safety - Jenkins and Watson can stay. McLeod shouldn't.

R. Back - If Sproles comes back next year, Ryan Matthews shouldn't. Let the Hometown kid Smallwood and K. Barner get the snaps next season. (Update: I realize he's gone now. Fuckin front office.) Sproles should be 3rd down/PR work only. Now, if Sproles moves on, Matthews is under contract for one more year. I'd still see what value I could get for him, though. Too injury prone for me.

Positions that need WORK:

WR - DeSean coming home would help this A LOT. Move Jordan to the #2 or slot. Promote Bryce Treggs. Give Turner come real work to do during the off-season to improve. Give DGB a choice: take a demotion or leave. CUT NELSON and don't look back. Go after one of the four:

Josh Gordon (if he can even come back)

Terrell Pryor (but Cleveland will want WAY too much)

Alshon Jeffery (SIDE NOTE: YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!)

Look at the draft: Mike Williams from Clemson would be great, he might not be available....so look at Corey Davis from W. Michigan in the 1st round. THAT is the priority....WRs to help Wentz.

CB - Jalen Mills is the only one who's safe. Nolan Carroll and Leodis should be gone TOMORROW. 2nd round/1st 4th round pick should be the focus here.
