lol I always say football fans, media, pundits etc are fickle as fuck!

classic example:

Player wants to leave club e.g. Mahrez: "he's got 3 years on his contract, what happened to loyalty or at least respecting it???"

Club wants to get rid of player e.g. Yaya Toure, Sakho, Rooney etc: "Well we need to get rid and he's not in the manager's plans" "why won't he move on, does he just want to sit on the bench and pick up his hefty wages....freeloader!"

Antonio Conte has revealed his decision to cut Diego Costa from his future plans was made in January.

Costa made it clear at the turn of the year that he was interested in a big-money move to Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjin.

Chelsea resisted the transfer but the manager's mind was made up and there is no way he is changing it.

'I don't like to talk about players who are not here,' said Conte, speaking for the first time since the infamous text message sent to Costa at the end of the season to inform him he would be allowed to leave.
