Is Danilo better than Alonso/Moses? I don't mind the signing but 31m for back up for both? clubs are really increasing the cost of players for EPL clubs.

If Bakayoko has a knee injury why bother? who is our backup option.............#frustrated because this is what happened after Jose's last title.

A move to Manchester United appears dead in the water for Nemanja Matic after bitter relations between the Red Devils and Chelsea following the transfer tussle for Romelu Lukaku.

But his future still appears to be away from Stamford Bridge, with Inter Milan emerging as contenders, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Blues want €40 million to sell the Serbia international midfielder, meaning the Nerazzurri could look elsewhere if they feel that fee is too high for a defensive-minded general.

Barcelona end transfer interest in Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin

Barcelona have reportedly ended their interest in sealing the transfer of Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin as they no longer believe he meets their requirements.

Barcelona chiefs come to surprise Hector Bellerin decision after meeting

The Spain international has been strongly linked with a return to his old club for much of this summer, with both he and Barca thought to be pushing for a deal to be struck.

Arsenal, however have been firm that they would not sell one of their most important players, who only recently signed a long-term contract until 2023.

Bellerin himself seemed to be keen on making the move back to the Nou Camp, despite publicly hinting that stories surrounding his future were not of any substance with a tweet saying: ‘Don’t believe everything you read…’

According to Sport, the deal may now be off the cards as new manager Ernesto Valverde met with club officials to discuss transfer plans and ruling Bellerin not to be good enough.

The 22-year-old has become regarded as one of the finest young defenders in Europe since making his breakthrough for the Gunners in 2014/15, but apparently doesn’t meet Barcelona’s current requirements.

It is claimed that Bellerin is not deemed to meet the high technical or physical standards required to play right-back for the Catalan giants, who are searching for a top class replacement for the legendary Dani Alves.

The Brazilian left the club a year ago after eight years of great service, and Bellerin has been one of a number of names linked to fill the void left by him on the right-hand side.

However, Arsenal now look increasingly likely to hold on to him as he no longer seems to be a priority for the La Liga side.

If he scores as many goals or more than last season...no fucks will be given about first touch.

No doubt he will score goals, the problem is it will be 4 against Huddersfield, 3 against Brighton, etc.
