Nemanja Matic claims Manchester United are ‘definitely’ a bigger club than Chelsea

Nemanja Matic has severed all ties with Chelsea by claiming that Manchester United are the biggest club he’s ever played for.

The 29-year-old midfielder made 154 appearances across two spells at Stamford Bridge but completed a £40million transfer to Old Trafford this summer to join up with former manager Jose Mourinho once again.

Matic has now revealed that Mourinho was instrumental in his decision to quit the Blues at the end of last month and admitted that he had made up his mind as soon as United’s interest became concrete.

The Serbian told Sky Sports: ‘He [Mourinho] was very important for me.

‘He bought me to Chelsea from Benfica and now when I decided to come to Manchester, he was a reason to come here.

‘Mourinho was the reason and so was the club, Manchester United, so you don’t need to think a lot about if you are going to come. My decision was very quick and very clear.’

Matic risked the wrath of Chelsea supporters when asked if United were the biggest club he has played for.

He responded: ‘Definitely, everyone knows what Manchester United is about.

‘When you say Manchester United, it is different. Also Chelsea is a big club, Benfica are the biggest club in Portugal. But Manchester is Manchester.

Arsenal plot £32m Julian Draxler transfer after Paris Saint-Germain put German on the market

Arsenal are plotting a late bid for Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Julian Draxler after being informed that he’s available for £32million.

The German international is surplus to requirements under Unai Emery and the French giants want to recoup some cash after breaking the world transfer record to sign Neymar.

Arsene Wenger’s interest in Draxler extends back to 2014 and the Gunners have tried to sign the German on a number of occasions.

Paris Saint-Germain have informed Arsenal that Draxler is available for just £32m and the Gunners are said to be considering their next move, according to the Times.

Wenger admitted this week that he is trying to trim his squad but he said there is room for an ‘exceptional’ player to join the club.

‘We are open to an exceptional player,’ Wenger told Sky Sports.

‘However, just to remind you we have 33 players here and they are all good players

‘That’s unmanageable so to bring one more player in for the sake of it would be stupid, but if we find an exceptional one, we will do it.’

If it's true that PSG are willing to do business at £32m, then I don't give a fuck if you've got 50 players in your squad, Wenger you do the damn deal!!!

I've already said Barca should have done a part deal for Draxler with Neymar, then look at an attack midfielder but that ain't happening

I think Clement must of borrowed the key's for Mourinho's bus but I think its a well deserved lead, took a while to bring them down, but surely now Swansea will have to take more risks... Saying that Rashford should of took a note out of Martial's book and just sensibly put the ball in the corner instead of trying to put extra sauce on the shot...
