George has sounded dissatisfied throughout the season. Asked about the campaign Wednesday, he called it “probably one of the toughest seasons for me” before admitting he thinks back to the years when the Pacers threatened to win the Eastern Conference. “You always relive the glory days when they’re gone,” George said. “So I’m trying to bring that to this team, and that edge. But it’s taken some time. It’s been a toll.”

Bill Doyle: George said he wants to remain a Pacer if they’re great, but if not, he’ll talk to front office. Realizes Pacers can’t be great without him

George scored 16 of his team-high 27 points in the final frame on 5-of-7 shooting. It was as if he thought, “Well, if I don’t do anything nobody else will.” And so he took over. “I always do,” he said of having to shoulder the load with this year’s team. “From start to finish. But, it just seems when I go off, I’m looked at as the ball stopper or the ball (hog). I get labeled as that. Within games I try to move the ball, get others involved. And when that doesn’t work, that’s when I go on as a lone wolf.”

He's been making a lot of noise in the media since the all star break. Interesting to see what Bird does with him this summer. I personally wouldn't touch him. No way he re signs with us. He wants to play for a potential contender. The Celtics make way too much sense. Flip Bradley/Crowder/Brown + a future first to Indy.

If we're completely healthy I think we we're good enough get to the WCF and can give Golden State a really tough series but we would have to be damn near flawless and shoot lights out in order to actually win the series.....Now I know that means we would have to beat San Antonio in the second round but I like our chances against them, only team in the conference I think we have no shot at beating is Utah
