Nate Taylor: Paul George: “There’s no urgency, no sense of urgency, no winning pride. This locker room is just not pissed off enough.”

Nate Taylor: Paul George: “To be honest, man, I don’t think I got the ball enough down the stretch. I don’t think I got the ball enough.”

Sherrod Blakely: Paul George says the @Indiana Pacers are a “playoff team” at home and a “lottery team” on the road this season.

George has sounded dissatisfied throughout the season. Asked about the campaign Wednesday, he called it “probably one of the toughest seasons for me” before admitting he thinks back to the years when the Pacers threatened to win the Eastern Conference. “You always relive the glory days when they’re gone,” George said. “So I’m trying to bring that to this team, and that edge. But it’s taken some time. It’s been a toll.”

Bill Doyle: George said he wants to remain a Pacer if they’re great, but if not, he’ll talk to front office. Realizes Pacers can’t be great without him

George scored 16 of his team-high 27 points in the final frame on 5-of-7 shooting. It was as if he thought, “Well, if I don’t do anything nobody else will.” And so he took over. “I always do,” he said of having to shoulder the load with this year’s team. “From start to finish. But, it just seems when I go off, I’m looked at as the ball stopper or the ball (hog). I get labeled as that. Within games I try to move the ball, get others involved. And when that doesn’t work, that’s when I go on as a lone wolf.”

He's been making a lot of noise in the media since the all star break. Interesting to see what Bird does with him this summer. I personally wouldn't touch him. No way he re signs with us. He wants to play for a potential contender. The Celtics make way too much sense. Flip Bradley/Crowder/Brown + a future first to Indy.

Draft Fultz/Ball. They would be set.

Jaylen is untouchable in trade talks, ainge ain't making a deal unless George signs long term anyway

Untouchable? How's that even possible? He's a nice prospect but far from an untouchable one. So let me get this right If the Wolves called up and asked for Brown in exchange for Towns the Celtics would turn it down?

Aight man. Thats cool.

This is as close to catching the Cavs vulnerable as yall gon get. Just hope that #1 pick helps yall beat the Cavs next season when yall lose in 6.

Yup you're definitely short sighted and wrong on every level, like I said giving up all those players for one all star still wouldn't guarantee us beating Cleveland especially the deal for George, then what we gave up all our depth so we go get slapped by San An or Golden State in the finals? then next year you're implying Cleveland will somehow retool and really our only chance is right now, well what about two years from now or 3 years from now with all these deep playoff runs from Bron he is human and guess what when Cleveland is falling apart guess who's players will all be in their prime with more young talent thriving off the bench? that's if we don't make a deal this summer which makes more sense anyway, no offense my dude but you probably thought Brooklyn made a great deal trading all those picks for Pierce and Garnett and weren't thinking this far ahead

Yo this shit is fucking retarded. You gonna sit here and compare the Celtics trading for Butler or PG throwing the nets pick in there to the Brooklyn trade? Smh bruh. This why yall no one takes yall Celtics fans seriously when it comes to talking about the Celtics.

Why would we give up jae, avery, Jaylen and 2 potential top 5 picks for those guys who won't guarantee a title this year? We saw your wack ass franchise gut your team the year before Melo was a free agent for 3 playoff appearances in 6 years with a 2nd round exit that "knickstape" year. We'll leave the short sighted deals for your franchise

Damn dog? You too? Haha. I swear you was in here hoping Ainge makes the trade during the trade deadline. Lucky I dont care enough to go back and pull up quotes.

Idk what this shit gotta do with the Knicks btw. I actually said all this cause the Celtics are in a really good position. I really like yall team. And yall didnt have to give up their core to get Butler or PG. Just 2 future picks, which I agree is very valuable, but the Celtics are so close.

Fuck it though. Why am I explaining this man? The question I posed was to everyone but yall Celtics fans anyway. This why no one takes yall Celtics opinions seriously.

One dude here comparing a potential trade of Butler to the Celtics to the Brooklyn trade, and you here talking about the Knicks and being short sided when you was begging for the trade.

He's shown flashes of being a go to scorer. Why would we get rid of 2 starters averaging 14+ppg and 3 lotto picks for a guy who might not sign long term? Granted we have the grizzlies and clippers 1st rounders in 2019 hopefully they blow it up but neither one of those guys are worth gutting our team for. Trading draft picks and young players for guys don't always work out word to serge ibaka

I didn't compare the trades I said your stupid ass probably thought it was a great deal for Brooklyn at the time and wasn't thinking this far ahead like you're doing now

Wonder if stanley johnson ever evolves into a decent player. Maybe two years after KCP dips out

I guess he missed the part where we had to give up 3 of 4 players and the pick for George, or his memory is shot because I remember him saying we should have accepted that bullshit deal at the time

It's a decent debate, it's better than just throwing corny insults around like pusshole like he's really getting us

What yall think the ceiling is for the squad?

If we're completely healthy I think we we're good enough get to the WCF and can give Golden State a really tough series but we would have to be damn near flawless and shoot lights out in order to actually win the series.....Now I know that means we would have to beat San Antonio in the second round but I like our chances against them, only team in the conference I think we have no shot at beating is Utah

2nd round exit

Thinking we'll come up short vs the Spurs?

Yeah I think they get us in 6

Id could see both happening. All depends on how healthy harden/anderson are.
