Romelu Lukaku 'delighted' at Roberto Martinez's Belgium news - David Henen

Everton youngster David Henen has said that Romelu Lukaku is happy to see Roberto Martinez named as Belgium manager.

Martinez was appointed as Marc Wilmots' successor at Belgium coach on Wednesday following his sacking at Everton in May.

The Spaniard will link back up with Everton striker Lukaku, who said that the coach's relationship with his players had became "broken" last season.

This has led to suggestions that the 23-year-old could have a difficulty working alongside Martinez on the international stage.

But his Belgian compatriot Henen told La Derniere Heure: "It's the opposite. Rom got on very well with Roberto Martinez.

"He knows that the coach has played a big part in his development these last few years.

"Rom was just surprised because no rumour had come out for anyone -- even for the players on the national team.

"In his head he said to himself 'that's crazy!' but you shouldn't think he's disappointed by the federation's choice.

"It's completely the opposite. He's delighted because he knows very well that it can only be a good thing for him given their relationship at Everton."

Almost a week to go, folks gotta start getting their Premier League table predictions in, i'll do mine next week, still unsure about ManU's position since Pogba still hasn't been confirmed. I've got MU winning the charity shield tho.

I still don't get the " we are the world" collaboration of hate for the only SPURS fan of this board man, that shit crazy.
