Why not Gordon? You think dude gone be a bust?

Don't wanna say bust but I'm not seeing it from him

He had some wide holes to run through and his speed seem sub par

I wonder if cashing out and retiring early is gonna become the new thing.

I think it is. Nothing's going to happen overnight but give it about 8-10 years and I think we'll have a very different NFL.

Not so fast...Dont forget the other end of that spectrum regarding retired players. Yea some of em have brain problems....buuut most of em have pocket problems.

Folk gon need more people if you think nggas is passin up 5 mil, 7 mil, 10 mil paydays early. Let alone 20, 30 mil over a lifetime. No sir.

Maybe you'll get guys in say Polamalu's psotion were he's made his millions and he'll cut out 1-2 years early. But healthy dudes are not leaving dozens of millions on the table. No sir.

Not to mention.....Borland is white. Familt probly got money. He'll be ok.

My counter to that, and what players will think, is my family comes from shyt. Im from bumpaloosa, Missippi. I got a whole family of people im supportin in different ways. Or, if not for football, i'd be a 'dead by 25' type ngga. If i keep playing, i can set up my kid's kids. Or i can bow out and 'live off 100k' (for how long?)...Not to mention bein around the guys on the team, bein the man in my city, bein known as the football guy to everyone around me and the ego boost that comes with it that i been used to since i was 15, living and playin the game i love, etc.

Nah. Its not happenin people.

Hardy in Seattle my goodness. The best young elite squad gets even younger lol

If tey pull that off, in additon to Graham....i got a feeling they could go 16-0....either that or they will struggle mightily. Lol But forreal, i look at them as mentally stronger than the 49ers, and i think if they do it right this season could be like the Bulls 72-10 season after they lost to Orlando. If im a leader on that team, thats the parallel i'd use for motivation.

Nah. Its not happenin people.

100k is like 10 millie in Bumpaloosa tho. J/K.

I kinda agree with you. The reason i asked was bcuz i was wondering how soon before scouts are gonna be questioning a players "passion for football". And will a players family economic status be used against him? Most likely no big deal tho. Just isolated.

You're not describing every situation though. There are a lot of players that do not fall under that umbrella and have set themselves up nicely even in a short amount of time (or didn't come from low income backgrounds to begin with).

Cortland Finnegan and Jake Locker could still be in the league but they aren't. Players are taking safety concerns a lot more serious and while I don't think it will have a huge impact on the current crop of players I do think it will have a huge impact on future generations. I would expect an increase in more non-contact sports, especially soccer.

Ehhhhh ok.

Courtland Finnegan, 9 years, ok. That the example i kinda just gave. Cutting out 1-3 years early. But ok. Still its gonna be a small percentage.

Jake Locker just dumb imo. Backup QB is one comfy job. When the last time Matt Leinart took a hit?

I looked up David Caarr bc he first came to mind: In the last 6 years of his career as a backup, he played a total of16 games. So thats 6 years worth of salary for a year's worth of hits.

Obviously we cant tell a mfer what to do for money, but i mean damn.

Your two examples are ass and likely wouldn't see much field time
