I just don't understand all these waste of height mfers walking around out here wanting to be teachers and shit.
It takes elite talent and/or skill to play pro ball. There's a cat at my job who is 6'8,he's a doofy uncoordinated non athletic dude he's taller than 95% of people on the street but he don't have the ability.I hoop wit a whiteboy at the gym he 6'7 got crazy range and he's a D-III college bench player who will never make it to the league. This cat I knew back in the day named marcus white went to uconn then purdue was a top 100 recruit use to dominate chicago local parks it was like guarding shaq when we played him,but in college he was average and eventually had back issues he made it to the d league years ago but that's it.All 3 cats 6'7-6'9
great point
and even then it really is amazing how some athletes can go from being dominant at the college level to being awful at the pro level -- it takes me back to those surveys that come out before the nba season starts where they ask players shit like what was/is their biggest nba adjustment
length of season
physicality
lifestyle
conditioning
etc
and the speed of the game is always polled the highest
just serves as a reality check for anybody wondering what itd be like to play at an nba level
super elite college athletes who can get up and down the court with great speed and pace struggle to adjust to the speed of the nba game
it looks like normal basketball to us on television but its go, go, go
