once upon a time doug mcdermott reputation for being a bad defender was making guys take dumb shots against him

it happened when gerald henderson thought he was zbo

batum rushed 3 shots on doug

warren did it twice in the suns game

its like guys were getting a little wide eyed and excited when he was on them, rushing stuff -- but he hasnt been getting immediately attacked on defense as much anymore

word must be getting around

its like he has been getting better every game and you can see the confidence -- hes been able to nicely replicate what dunleavy brings lately with a little less adept defensively but with more offensive wrinkles -- hopefully he can keep up the scoring and get to being average on defense so he can take over the starting sf spot next year

McBuckets should be starting right now, Snell goes too many games where he only giving 2-5 points. He;s just useless when he's on the court

word tony snell is only starting out of necessity, he is nowhere near starting caliber but i think it works out better for doug when he plays in a offense where getting pau touches to his liking isnt a priority because the starters are still running so much of thibs offense, there is a lot of isos, high pick and pop, iso post ups etc

the bench is running a very simplified version of hoiberg offense and thats where doug excels since he is much more than just a spot of shooter

i love watching the o get ran through jo, playing him with niko and doug maximizes his room to operate + hes so good at finding the shooter on kickouts

it was great seeing rose be so aggressive last game but i wonder if pau got enough post touches for his liking

only took 6 shots

i did see him fist pump after he got those last two free throws with like 10 seconds left to give him a double double so his night was probably salvaged

how the refs missed this timeout call (when all 3 refs were standing right in clear view of lowry) AND didnt add time back onto the clock which only gave us 0.7 secs left to make a play (after an obvious delayed call) is bullshit...pure bullshit

we got fucked on that call. lowry signals for a timeout at 3.6 seconds...no ref calls it derozan hits that 3 to put us up 3 they call it off on the fact that lowry called a timeout but they dont add time to the clock which leaves us at 0.7 seconds?? either let the 3 go since no ref approved the time out (yet) or like in every other situation add time to the clock because of their late ass calling
