AC Milan are on the verge of securing the signing of Roma's Alessio Romagnoli, according to GianlucaDiMarzio.com.

The 20-year-old defender made 30 Serie A appearances on loan at Sampdoria last season under the management of Sinisa Mihajlovic, who now just happens to be in charge of Milan.

On Sunday night, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani told rossoneri fans: "It's 99.8 percent done."

Hertha Berlin's team bus was shot at ahead of a German Cup match in Bielefeld, the Bundesliga club said Sunday.

There were no players on the bus at the time and no one was injured in the incident.

Hertha general manager Michael Preetz told German website Sport1 that the bus was overtaken by a motorcyclist who threatened the driver with his fist and then pulled out a pistol at a roundabout. The shot did not penetrate the windscreen.
