Real Madrid asking price for Di Maria is £75m? Or maybe that's united spinning it so whatever deal they agree seems like they did a good job negotiating?

Bit if he goes to City tho lmaoo wow united fans would nvr hear the end of it

I heard £45-55mil...

If he goes to City:

thats a fair price...some sky journo saying they are told asking price is £75m... Think they're being fed by united...

Surely FFP only thing stopping City... Perfect for them and he would join them ahead of u guys easily

Yeah 75mil is crazy hes not worth that, for me £55mil is also crazy, but fck it, Im not the one writing the cheque haha I think Di Maria would choose us you know, hes guarantied regular football with us, a chance to be one of the main men, and very charismatic boss...

And wait for it..... a club with massive history lol On the really though yes we had a bad season, we are still Man United... United, Chelsea and Arsenal are arguably Liverpool are still bigger clubs then City (worldwide)... City have the money to pay players, but they still feel hollow to me... But yes, they will be challenging for the title this year...

I see Alex McLeish is still getting jobs out there. He's just been offered a manager position with Belgium club Genk.

I just thought...

When a player turns in England, and goes to stadium to a club hes thinking of signing with, and an ambassador/ex player (sir matt busby or bryan robson in uniteds case) shows a player round the stadium, and shows them history museum that they have and they see the trophies, historic pictures and learn the clubs history etc how can they not get swept away by teams like United and Liverpool??? As long as they are challenging for Europe that is...

City cant offer that, they can offer money thats about it... Chelsea and Arsenal have bigger soles then City, I would rather sign with them City anyday... Its crazy that a player would rather sign with them because they offer an extra 20k on top of their 60,70 or 80k they are already getting... They are not even guarantied first team football...

Im sure some people will disagree... Saying City are bigger than said clubs...

Di Maria not training with Madrid and has said that he wants to leave.

If he is bought by Utd, where does he fit in?

Ancelotti has confirmed he's coming to UTD he said goodbye to the players this morning...

Also says Khedira is staying.

Until next summer cause I think any club can sign him for free.

Agree and disagree ..... at the end of the day it comes down to money. The players are going to go for the paycheck. Their careers ends at around 34/35 on average so they have to make sure they are secure for the rest of their lives. But not even the players ..... can't really blame them for their decisions at times, it's the agent that works out the deals and most times gives the advice (securing their bigger commission as well).

Same way too, the players know that clubs like United, Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal make a lot of money annually and they can afford the salaries demanded.

Yeah no doubt, but earning 100/150k for 10years plus sponsorship etc thats defo enough to secure their future, but like you say agents play a big part in their transfers...

But still, its about game time to, look at Sinclair and Rodwell for example, theyve have sacrificed progression and enjoying football for an extra 20/30k aweek... Like you say they only last till 36 years old, and they've wasted 3 years of that sitting on the bench...

damn near the perfect squad, n with mourinho back, id say its our league this season.

united on the other hand...

Does this mean we'll see you more often this season?

Or are you going to do like last season and retreat for cover when the bombs start dropping?

Don't worry blood, I'll wait.

Brighton game was dope yesterday, a 2-1 win against Bolton.

@s0j0urner Teixeira scored again (2 goals in 2 games) he played dope, as did our other new signing Joe Bennet from Vila... Bruno was MOTM, we played like Barca at times haha

The season is now looking promising, its great what a couple new signings can to do a club...

He is doing really well for Brighton - only 2 games and he has scored in both of them and created 2 or so goals as well.

Things are looking good for Sami and his team.

Yeah mate, he started off bright it was the first time I had seen him play, always wanting the ball and trying to create and wasnt scared to shoot... He faded abit but then popped up with the goal... Great signing so far...

I seen that yesterday. He is good friends with Tim Howard.

Super Mario in, I'm cool with that, but we won't be able to outscore teams 3-2 every game. We are in for a rude awakening come champions league.

I can't get use to Man U wearing blue, wtf
