Makes sense, his numbers are down pretty much across the board, if they already know they aren't going to pay him and they believe they can make the playoffs without him then fuck it, I still think Indiana should offer a top 10 protected pick or something, they are a team in win now mode once Paul George is healthy they will be back in the mix next season but they got to do something about their point guard position and I know Bird was interested before, if not them then Miami and Detroit come to mind, although they love Jennings in Detroit right now and hes on the books for another year, I cant think of another team that doesn't already have an established point guard or a young point guard they are building with that would be willing to give up a first
The pacer's gotta get rid of George Hill.. that nigga is terrible.. This is the same nigga that Pop was crying his ass off when he traded him for a nigga he thought was trash. Only to find out.. Kwahi is developing into one of the best two way players in the game..
George Hill isn't terrible and Pop never thought Kawhi was a bad player.
Hill isn't a point guard and the Pacers try to play like he is one. The guy is a solid tweener who can slash a bit, hit open jumpers and play solid defense. He is a perfect guy to bring off the bench or play off the ball if you have a primary ball handler playing with him like the Spurs did when he was in the 2nd unit with Manu or played beside Tony.
Pop signs off on every player the Spurs draft or pick up via Free agency before they pull the trigger. Pop was the GM in the past before firing Bob Hill and taking the team over when David Robinson went down with injury. The team got Tim in the draft because of David's injury and the rest is history. Pop is pretty much the assistant GM and Buford who has been the GM was actually hired by Pop in the past. lol
