Jason kidd was rondo before rondo difference was Kidd could Score when needed

com on now...nobody outside this forum in terms of being a point guard got westbrook (a few would), Curry, Wall or even Parker as point guards better than Rondo..better bball players is one thing..but better point guards no...

especially Westbrook in which you still have some ppl gettting at him for take more shots than Durant, given that a point guards job still is to facilitate....i aint putting westbrook over Rondo...better player yes, better point no! Not even Parker either...Coach Pop had issues with parker at times this/last season about him taking too many shots and not getting his teammates involve.

katz kill me with that Rondo was only better because he had HOFers..although his assist did benefitted, but anybody who knows bball talent knows Rondo is a good point guard, top 5 without a jumper..i dont hear nobody on TNT or NBA tv ever kicking that disclaimer when they mention the top point guards in the league..here yes, but not in the real world.

Rondo might be the better "point guard" but he can't dominate a game like westbrook can and russ will take the shots durant won't

What hurts Rondo is that he can't handle the ball at the end of close games because he can't hit ft's consistently. All the elite PG's can do that...

Something that separates Rondo from some of his peers are the intangibles.

DWill might have a better jumper, but that might be the only thing he's legitimately better at.

I will take Rondo's heart & will over DWill's jumper any day of the week.

Saying Rondo was only good because he had talent, and now that he has less talent, will struggle is a dumb premise especially when trying to argue for Deron Williams, who for 2 years wasn't shit without talent & Jerry Sloan and was a forgotten man in the NBA.

You can't have it both ways.

The only PG that can be dropped on any team and immediately turn a team into a playoff team regardless of roster is Chris Paul.

As far as the regular season, I see the Nets falling to 5. Bulls, Heat, NY & Indy (in that order) are all better suited for the regular season. Better benches & all of them have good to great chemistry. Nets will probably come on strong late though and win a 1st round matchup.
