I think the FA Cup is very important, but in terms of club competitions, I would put the Champions League and respective League Titles before it. Since it's the oldest Cup Competition out I rank it higher than the Spanish and other Cup competitions

The money in the Prem & CL has made managers field weaker teams and treat the FA Cup like its the League Cup, which is why you get surprises and schitt teams like Hull in the final...

Although, I like having the schitt teams get through because it does add to the magic of the FA Cup and make you look back to the days when you did get teams like West Ham, Ipswich & Wimbledon etc in the final...

Now teams would rather stay in the Prem or make top 4 then win the FA Cup...

Watched the first half of Holland v Ecuador this morning, was a schitt game, and Holland went 1-0 down only to draw 1-1, so Van Gaal sorts it out for the World Cup and next season!!!

But RVP's equaliser was world class... He likes scoring these type goals B-)

Yeah Ive heard few people say that, but it really wouldnt really be fair to other nations in the CL, I think England already get alot more spaces then other countries....

CL spots are granted via uefa league ranking, top 3(Spain/England/Germany) all get 4 spots, Italy n France have 3, Holland 2 etc. Its based on results in the EL n CL.

i don't see the point in giving champions league spot to FA cup winner... It's not like teams aren't fielding strong teams in the comp...it jus needs a high profile final btwn 2 good teams

And 4th place deserves something

So the the FA Cup would mean England would get an extra spot, but chances are a Top 3 or 4 team would win the cup anyway... So instead of Europa they would get CL... Would that effect anything in Europe, it all gets confusing lol

Lol my bad, I meant that if the fa cup winndr gets CL, then only the top 3 spots in the prem get CL. 4 spots is the maximum Uefa gives and only the top 3 leagues get 4 spots.

the league ranking is based on clubs performance in tge CL/EL but the point system is just as confusing as the fifa ranking lol

The format is fine the way it is right now.

Also this will be the last year that a losing team in the FA Cup will be given european football if the winning team has already qualified for the CL. Seven English teams will be playing european football during the 14/15 campaign.
