Man United fans yell at Alex Ferguson

Frustrated Manchester United supporters took their anger out on Sir Alex Ferguson after Tuesday's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

After the match, angry fans yelled expletives at the former United manager as well as David Moyes, his handpicked successor, according to multiple reports.

Stadium stewards also had to be deployed to prevent supporters from tearing down a banner honouring Moyes as "The Chosen One."

Ferguson retired last season and chose Moyes to take over the club that he led to 13 Premier League titles in 26 season.

United are currently in seventh with 51 points, and an emphatic defeat to their cross-town rivals -- their 10th league loss of the season -- was apparently too much for some fans to take.

Tuesday's defeat ensured United will finish with their lowest point total of the Premier League era.

Stewards had to pull one fan away from Moyes' seat in the dug-out, according to The Telegraph.

Club officials have publicly stood by Moyes, though sources told ESPN FC last week that key Manchester United boardroom figures have considered the possibility of sacking Moyes for the first time.

Moyes took the blame for Tuesday's loss.

"I take responsibility," Moyes said. "I have to be the one who plays them, picks them and that is what it is. I don’t think tonight was in any way [down to] a lack of effort or lack of commitment from the players, in fact I thought they were fully there but in some areas we didn’t come up to scratch."

Lmao These people want blood.

Bayern bundesliga champs in record time

legendary team already lol

I was reading that yesterday. Title clinched in March. 25 point lead lol. Competition is non existent in that league. The "machine" could possibly pull off another quadruple.

Another reason why the EPL is the best league.

the Bayern you see playing now, they started back in 08/09 with this team/philosophy. Van Gaal, Heynkes and now Pep bringing his dominance...

theyve got players on the bench that would be part of the arsenal/man u etc starting eleven.

they rule the bundesliga now lol, wasnt the case a couple seasons back when Dortmund was running shit.

they would run the prem as well.

Funny thing is @northside, arsenal and man u fans saying the prem is the best league etc.

before abramovic came through, it was all Man U and Arsenal running the prem, yeah sure Newcastle was balling and Blackburn won a title, shit even nottingham forrest was balling. Leeds etc..

ironically arsenal never won anything since the prem became the best league in the world lol.

I said the same thing quadruple pages back, but these epl one minded fanatics don't care about that. Man U and arsenal and now Chelsea, 1 for Blackburn and city, only teams that won the Barclays since the beginning.

It's crazy that people got on Blackburn for so called "buying" the title but look at the EPL today. I know right now people are getting mad at Everton for their loan deals. Any other time it would not be a problem but since they are only a couple of points outside of a Champions League spot, People want the EPL and the FA to look into how loans deals are worked out.

smh was at work so I missed the match. Watched it when I got home. Terrible. I thought Clev had a decent half before he went off. Fellaini was weak again. Mata was non-existent other than that one chance. Only Rooney and Welbeck were better than poor.

What Scholes said is basically what I said some pages back. No leaders or fighters.

The midfield is a huge problem on defense because guys like Ozil, Cazorla, Rosicky, Podolski simply don't track back most of the time to help defend. And it seems Wenger doesn't get on them about this. Then you got Arteta who's past his prime and shouldn't be a first team option so often. The midfielders cant keep the ball for shit as of late.

Wenger's calm demeanor truly pisses me off at times. Show some fucking fight and emotion. You show none and neither will the players.

^^^^^We need this from the players.

overstated this nuff time in here as well. but yall arsenal fans stay asking for offensive players. arsene senile wenger

at this point in his career will never find a leader for arsenal. he cant even motivate his current A list roster. these players play up to there manager's potential. arsene is fickle, and it trickle right down to there players.

Y'all need psychological help. Put pelligrini or mourinho with that current roster an you guys will in 1st place, or should I say challenging for titles.

Yo, so what do you guys think of the 'National League' UEFA have just voted in??? I think it sounds dope. It will replace international friendlies so hopefully the slow paced meaningless games that the friendlies were will now have abit more venom in them... Shame we got to wait for 2018 though...

Wow @ these two stories...Gary Neville has had enough, not only publicly attacking Moyes, which will, and I have no doubt, be the reason Moyes is gone at the end of the season, but also he is leading a bid to buy out the Glaziers with the "Class of '92" backed by "Arab Money"....

Neville is Man U through and through...I'm glad he is not having it..
