Interesting ESPN selections for "Position U" rankings. Fans always talk like their program's are "(insert position)-U", so ESPN decided to rank them based on actual results.

It's only based on the 2000's.

Ranked based on awards, draft picks, etc.

OU was picked #1 as QBU,
http://newsok.com/ou-is-quarterback-u-of-2000s-according-to-espn-rankings/article/4923348

#2 "RBU" school.

Top 5 in everything but Tight Ends and WR's.

and defensively we're ranked...

#2 "DBU" school.

#2 "LBU" school.

#4 "D-LineU" school.

I fucks with it. At least they put together a system instead of going off hype and prisoner of the moment narratives like fans do.

Michigan State went 13-1 no love from the mags? Did they lose shitload of Seniors?

That Sporting News is just one publication, I've seen some preseason polls with them in the top 6.

They did lose about 6 or 7 starters on Defense tho (which is their bread and butter.)

Now we have statistics to why the BIG12 has great offensive numbers every year...they have shitty defenses...smh

LOL @ Georgia not ranked in QBs

Aaron Murray

David Greene

Matthew Stafford

but Louisville is..............................

Grambling could possibly be replaced as the other participant in the Bayou Classic according to a report from the Monroe News-Star.

Mercedes-Benz Superdome management is reportedly discussing the possibility of replacing Southern's opponent in the Thanksgiving-week game due to low attendance.

Another option being reportedly discussed is moving the game to the season opener.

Grambling has not had much success on the field in recent years winning just two game the last to seasons.

The football program made national headlines last season after boycotting a game due to the poor conditions of their athletic facilities.

Really..........................................................Southern too good for Grambling.

The boombox classic game (southern/jackson st) might de-throne the bayou classic as one of the the "it" games of the hbcu's ...grambling man i dont know whats going on with them.

Actually the Magic City Classic shit on both of them because they have it in a city that has nothing going on. They want to make the game profitable. Move it to Shreveport one year and rotate it to Grambling and Southern.
