and word is LSU gonna do a home and home vs Wisconsin.....but we play them in Reliant Stadium 2014 and we go to Lambeau 2015....said them niggaz did not wanna enter the state of Louisiana and play in either Tiger Stadium or MB Superdome

What's your thoughts on Les Miles...Good Coach??

Les Miles is a good recruiter and manager of coaches. He can put almost any coaching combo together and have them work together. Personnel decision have been questionable but he as brought in some great players and coaches too take the LSU brand to another level.

If this next hire, Cam Cameron, can bring the offense to at least a respectable level. LSU would be in championship contention once again.

I'm waiting to see how the offense is going to play...much talent they have on that side of the ball, the offense shouldn't be looking the way it has looked over the past seasons...really last season..so this will be interesting to see if they stick with the heavy dose of power back running... or let Cam open the playbook up...

@Knock_Twice

Les Miles is who he is....a coach that has gone 11-2...13-1...and to LSU standards a disappointment in 10-3 wit two losses on the final drive last season....so when we go damn bruh where tha passing he goes look at my record...

But by hiring Cam he has heard the whispers.....so just like last year everything i see in the TCU game might be more of the same or different...wont kno until Aug 31.

@GetMoney

Mayne I'ma just say this...that dude is an idiot...he has been bailed out numerous times...the 11-2 record and other records you've posted could have easily been a 8-4 record or worst lol.....dude just doesn't do it for me...not a fan of dude..I just wanted to see what others see in dude..dude is by far the luckiest coach to have coached lol...I mean I just don't see a coach in him...recruiting...I agree with you partially...I think the media freenzy in Louisiana has "alot" to do with the kids coming here and also Saben created the pipeline here in the boot..the media loves LSU especially them white folks in B.R....that has alot to do with the kids signing to play here IMO..but coaching wise...dude to me isn't a good coach..with only just 1 title with all the talent and top classes he's had just 1 and you won that one with a 2 lose record...

and Gerry Dinardo actually started opening the pipeline for kids here...saban took it outside and started snatchin kids in places we had no chance....and Miles has steadily kept it in tact

"Louisiana Born Louisiana Proud"

We all been proud to be from Louisiana. But that shit hit another level in 2005.

All them years of louisiana kids leaving was getting on my nerves. All those good QBs in the 90s from Louisiana and the only one that stayed was Josh Booty. WTF!

Athlon Sports top College WR's of the BCS ERA...
http://www.athlonsports.com/college-football/college-footballs-top-50-wide-receivers-bcs-era

1. Larry Fitzgerald, Pittsburgh (2002-03)

Stats: 161 rec., 2,677 yds, 34 TD

Few players have ever been as impossible to cover as the star from Richfield (Minn.) Holy Angels. After redshirting, Fitz dominated college football for two full seasons. He became the first Pitt Panther to have back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, owns the school record with 34 touchdowns (in just 26 games) and owns the NCAA record for consecutive games with a touchdown reception (18). As a sophomore in his final season at Pitt, he caught 92 passes for 1,672 yards and 22 touchdowns, winning Big East Player of the Year honors and the Walter Camp and Biletnikoff awards. His second-place finish in the Heisman Trophy voting is the highest by any wide receiver during the BCS era and he is the only one in to finish in the top three.

2. Calvin Johnson, Georgia Tech (2004-06)

Stats: 178 rec., 2,927 yds, 28 TD, 40 rush, TD

3. Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech (2007-08)

Stats: 231 rec., 3,127 yds, 41 TD

4. Peter Warrick, Florida State (1995-99)

Stats: 207 rec., 3,517 yds, 32 TD, 188 rush, 4 TD, 937 ret. yds (6)

5. Percy Harvin, Florida (2006-08)

Stats: 133 rec., 1,929 yds, 13 TD, 1,852 rush, 19 TD

6. Justin Blackmon, Oklahoma State (2009-11)

Stats: 252 rec., 3,564 yds, 40 TD, 136 rush, TD

7. Braylon Edwards, Michigan (2001-04)

Stats: 252 rec., 3,541 yds, 39 TD

8. Torry Holt, NC State (1995-98)

Stats: 191 rec., 3,379 yds, 31 TD, 119 rush

9. Tavon Austin, West Virginia (2009-12)

Stats: 288 rec., 3,413 yds, 29 TD, 1,031 rush, 6 TD, 2,840 ret. yds, 5 TD

10. Ryan Broyles, Oklahoma (2008-11)

Stats: 349 rec., 4,586 yds, 45 TD, 97 rush, TD, 1,307 ret. yds, 2 TD

No one in NCAA history caught more passes than the smallish local star from Norman, Okla. And it didn’t take long for him to become a star, catching seven passes for a freshman school record 141 yards in his first collegiate game. He posted three straight seasons of at least 80 catches, 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns. He led the nation in both receptions (131) and punt returns (34) as a junior and is the Big 12’s all-time leading receiver in all three major categories. Broyles was a two-time consensus All-American.

NOTABLE TOP 10 SNUBS

26. Julio Jones, Alabama (2008-10)

Stats: 179 rec., 2,653 yds, 15 TD, 139 rush 2 TD

From a talent standpoint, there may not be a more gifted name on this list than the superstar from Alabama. The school’s most talented pass-catcher helped lead Alabama to a national championship in 2009 and played on three teams that went 36-5 overall.

34. Roddy White, UAB (2001-04)

Stats: 163 rec., 3,112 yds, 26 TD

The career numbers aren't huge and the level of competition was suspect, however, White was an elite big-play machine well before he got to Atlanta. He led the nation in receiving as a senior (1,452 yds) and averaged 19.1 yards per catch for his career. His overall NFL talent makes him arguably the most gifted "mid-major" receiver of the era.

17. AJ Green, Georgia (2008-10)

Stats: 166 rec., 2,619 yds, 23 TD, 105 rush

Based on raw talent alone, Green is the one of the greatest receivers to play the game. In a league not known for big passing numbers, Green led the SEC in yards and touchdowns as a true freshman. His rare blend of size, speed, vertical ability and red zone ball skills makes him one of the game’s most uncoverable targets.

60. Andre Johnson, Miami (2000-02): 92 rec., 1,831 yds, 20 TD, 594 ret. yds

Before anybody catches feels, remember the title top *College* wide receivers of the BCS Era.

Still think Julio and Broyles should be higher tho. Julio made SEC secondaries look like conference USA niggas, and how is the all-time leading receiver in college history NOT in the top 5 of his era? foh.

Lank?

Ill be shocked if Woods, Lee, or Mike Williams (niggas easily forget how beastly he was) ain't on that list.

Edit: nvm I scrolled right past it.

That's actually one of the best "lists" I've seen in a while. You can tell there was no real bias and every top name was backed up with facts.

I would put Julio in at least the top 20 just based on the ragdolling he did @ Alabama. He was actually underused @ Bama.

He would've had at least half of Broyles' passes had he made it to Norman like the fuck he was sposed to. lol

Nikka been skulldraggin' whole squads since he was a tru freshman...

julioskulldrag-o.gif

And Broyle's career speaks for itself and should've been top 5 on that list. Just off being the all-time receiver in CFB from a major conference.

Other than that, the list was on point.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has been known as a relentless recruiter, so a story about his aggressive pursuit of 5-star offensive lineman KC McDermott is not unbelievable.

McDermott, a top-five offensive tackle according to 247Sports, committed to the hometown Miami Hurricanes in April. The West Palm Beach, Fla., native grew up a Miami fan, and his older brother, Shane, is expected to compete for the starting center position this fall after being named All-ACC Honorable Mention in 2012.

In a recent interview with Bleacher Report, McDermott told a story about the time he turned down Meyer and Ohio State in person. According to the Hurricanes' commit, Meyer "looked like he was a baby about to cry."

"The Urban Meyer thing was just funny to me. He came to my school a week after I told his assistant that I wasn't even interested in them," McDermott said. "I told him no to his face, and it's got to be one of the top five reactions of someone ever. His facial expression was just so funny. My coach was tearing up and had to go in his office and laugh."

Promises are often made in recruiting, sometimes kept, sometimes not, but nearly all are genuine: Coaches who tell a recruit he can win the Heisman do so with confidence that this can, in fact, occur. (Coaches are a confident bunch.)

Some promises are too good to be true, however. Take this one, for example, from an unnamed coach to Woodsbridge, Va., defensive end Da’Shawn Hand, the nation’s No. 1 recruit, according to Rivals.com.

Via Bruce Feldman of CBSSports.com:

Feldman: “What is the craziest thing that has happened to you since you’ve been named the nation’s No. 1 recruit?”

Hand: “Well, I ain’t gonna say any names, but one coach told me that since I’m the No. 1 player, I’m gonna get to meet Michael Jackson. I said, ‘Isn’t he already dead?’ The coach goes, ‘Well, all right, you can meet Tito.’ I was like, all right. OK, I’m done.

It was crazy, but it is what it is.”

if the best he can do is offer someone a chance to meet Tito Jackson, I'm sure he'll work himself out of a job eventually

NH to this article

Of all the head coaches recruiting me, I'd say Urban Meyer is probably the funniest.

He calls me "Bubble." That's because he said I have a linebacker butt. I have a wide butt with a great leg base.

Urban Meyer

Urban Meyer already has a nickname for McMillan. He calls him "Bubble."

Every time we talk, he calls me that.

He says all great athletes have huge butts and great strength bases there. He was telling me about guys like Tim Tebow, Brandon Spikes and Percy Harvin. Guys like that. He said they were built the same way.

Only in big 10 country is shit like this acceptable
