"OKC wont be able to keep them, bet they dont keep em.....i hope they dont keep them"

Bruh, you seriously gonna sit there with a straight face and think OKC can afford to give both Ibaka and Harden two 12 plus mil contracts because best believe both those dudes will test the market.

uhhh yup, they already signed hasheem tabeet, resigned cole Alrich and also drafted percy jones III, meaning they are gearing up for the inevitable, using the amnesty on perkins while keeping harden and ibaka, only challenge is the suns who will offer the max to harden, we will see if he takes it next summer.

Harden dipping out like Joe Johnson to get his own shine, even though i don't think dude is a superstar.

Kobe says his USA teammates can’t teach him anything new

Look at what the quotes, from Jeff Zillgitt of the USA Today (via Ball Don’t Lie).

When a news reporter suggested Bryant was the best U.S offensive player in the low post other than center Tyson Chandler, Bryant stopped the question.

“No, no, no,” Bryant said. “Not other than Tyson Chandler. I’m the best post player on this team, period. Tyson Chandler is not in that conversation.”

Asked what it’s like to be the old guy on the team, Bryant said, “I’m where everybody wants to get to. I just happen to be still playing.”

“Can you learn anything from these young guys?” he was asked.

Bryant: “No.”

“You know everything?”

Bryant: “I don’t know if I know it all, but I know more than they do.”

just sounds like a confident man to me. The kind of confidence that can hit a game winner after goin 0 for 15 vs the Hornets one game. the kind of ice cold confidence of knowin he's playing with elite stars yet feels he still got game compared to his peers. You expect Kobe to say tyson is offensively better than him at something? come on now...we're talkin about anultra competative guy here. It's only been 2 years since he's been an NBA champ which aint long ago. This the same man crazy enough to kick off that "We can beat the dream team" stuff. He is what he is, I woulda been more shocked if he said something different than what he said. *shrugs*

Report: There will be no age limit for 2016 Rio Olympics (GOOD)

according to a report by Ian Thompson at Sports Illustrated.

The NBA’s interest in pursuing an age ceiling for Olympic basketball is “unlikely” to be instituted in time for the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, according to the source, who has direct knowledge of the talks involving the International Olympic Committee and FIBA, the international ruling body for basketball….

But the source stressed that quick action on an age limitation is highly unrealistic for FIBA. Passage of the new rule will require the ratification of 213 national basketball federations around the world — the sporting equivalent of the United Nations. The involvement of the IOC will further complicate the talks.

The 23 year old age limit is stupid UNLESS all FIBA teams agree to do the same... then the playing field is equal. I know that our boys under 16-18 all won Gold by blowouts... the under 19's came in 5th so they'll be alright

Russia - 12

Spain - 9

End of 1st QTR... absolutely some of the shittiest basketball I've ever seen... and Spain is fucking soft...

Long way to go, but yeah I hope Russia wins just because Spain tanked their last game in pool play to Russia just to avoid America in the Semis
