Miami offensive coordinator Mike Sherman is helping prepare the Dolphins for Sunday’s regular-season opener against the Texans at Reliant Stadium.

Sherman, who was fired as Texas A&M’s head coach after last season, is focused on the Texans, but he’s also got an eye on College Station and the Aggies’ SEC debut on Saturday against the University of Florida.

“Some thought I didn’t want to go to the SEC,” Sherman said today. “I didn’t have a problem going to the SEC as long as it was for the right reasons. I did have a problem with those Aggies who wanted to go to the SEC to get out of Texas’ shadow.
