Didn't they tell him to go back and do the whole album again and make it more pop friendly? I mean the fact that they told him the original Nothing on You was wack and gave it to someone else to make a more poppish sounding song is enough for me to realize that Lupe is pretty damn much a slave to the label. Hell didn't B.o.B. complain about lack of creative control as well? I mean if he don't do the album that's a breach of contract right?
