i saw the game agaisnt spain on espn2 last night....greta game for an exhibition.
I would say they should cut russell westbrook and keep stephon curry....b/c westbrook plays liek rose..but sucks at shooting...and tehy could always use shooting.

I think u are right man. But something tells me it is down to either Curry or Gordon. I hope they both make though.

I'm not sure who they'll cut but Westbrook played good on Saturday and got "player of the game". It's really a tough decision for USA. Westbrook didn't play too good or down the stretch VS Spain but on the last two defensive posessions he was in the game for his defense.

Rubio really played well yesterday. He is not fast though. What he has is great play-making instincts. I think Curry will make the team though, he is the best pure shooter on the squad.

o ya your right stephs speed along with his size helps him kinda slip by players and get a rip and he can definately shoot which is something usa will need against zone

I have to disagree man. As much as it pains me as a Laker fan to say it, Rondo is a freaking awesome PG. Its a shame he cant shoot for shit. That been said, i would still take him easily over Westbrook.

ATHENS, Greece (AP)—The U.S. national basketball team finalized its roster for the world championships when Celtics star Rajon Rondo(notes) asked to withdraw from consideration.
Rondo had started the Americans first two exhibition games, then surprisingly didn’t play at all Sunday when the U.S. edged Spain.
The final 12-man roster set Tuesday includes: Kevin Durant(notes), Derrick Rose(notes), Rudy Gay(notes), Lamar Odom(notes), Chauncey Billups(notes), Danny Granger(notes), Russell Westbrook(notes), Eric Gordon(notes), Stephen Curry(notes), Kevin Love(notes), Tyson Chandler(notes) and Andre Iguodala(notes).
Coach Mike Krzyzewski’s team has one more tuneup against Greece on Wednesday. The world championships start Saturday in Turkey and run through Sept. 12.
