Eto'ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo mofos! Still one of the best strikers in the world, scoring/assists like no other at the moment. Match was epic, unbelievable ending with the Sneijder/Eto'o/Pandev combo

Kinda feel sorry for Bayern tough, they could have been 5 up in the first half lol, robben n ribery were brilliant in the first half

Inter going all the way again.....

Tottenham/Shaktar/Schalke all reached the last 8, CL on the decline? LOL at Man United slibbering through, only saw a summary but it seemed like the french deserved a draw

And yeah I still believe Lyon will win tonight, fuck real.

I agree with Chelsea having an easy game, but Spurs were lucky Milan didnt score/win in London (spurs seem to be the easy team now they've reached the final 8) and man united isnt that much better than marseille.

but hell in order to win the CL, you have to beat everybody anyway. Arsenal had an unlucky draw though lol

The FA finally got tough on Sir Alex Ferguson today by banning him for FIVE matches.

The Manchester United boss was in the dock after his heavy criticism of referee Martin Atkinson after his side's defeat to Chelsea earlier this month.

Ferguson was handed a three-match touchline ban, with the extra two games triggered from his suspended punishment for criticising Alan Wiley last season. He has also been fined £30,000.

Anger management: Sir Alex Ferguson was furious after the defeat at rivals Chelsea

The 69-year old, who will undoubtedly be fuming over the verdict, will spend the whole of April in the stands.

His suspension kicks in on March 22 and he will be missing for the league matches against West Ham, Fulham, Everton and Arsenal, plus the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

The clash with the Gunners at the Emirates is a potential title decider in the Barclays Premier League.

Ferguson was fuming after the match at Stamford Bridge over Atkinson's failure to send off Chelsea goalscorer David Luiz for fouls on Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney after the Brazilian had already been booked.

Controversy: Ferguson felt David Luiz (right) was lucky not to be sent off

To compound that frustration Atkinson then awarded Chelsea what he considered a 'soft' penalty when Yuri Zhirkov fell under Chris Smalling's challenge.

Although Ferguson's comments to host broadcaster Sky Sports are not thought to have overstepped the mark, those to United's in-house TV station MUTV have caused concern.

He said: 'You want a fair referee, or a strong referee anyway - and we didn't get that. I must say, when I saw who the referee was I feared it. I feared the worst.'

An FA statement read: 'At an Independent Regulatory Commission Sir Alex Ferguson was handed a touchline suspension for three matches and fined a total of £30,000.

Man in the middle: Martin Atkinson feels the wrath of United striker Wayne Rooney

'The Commission found the charge of Improper Conduct relating to media comments proven, following remarks made in relation to match official Martin Atkinson in post-match interviews following Manchester United’s fixture with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 1 March 2011.

'Furthermore the Commission invoked a two match suspended touchline ban, relating to a previous charge of Improper Conduct in relation to media comments made in October 2009.

Blow: Fergie is aiming for the title

'Therefore Sir Alex Ferguson was ordered to a serve a five match touchline ban commencing on Tuesday 22 March 2011.'

Although Ferguson is unable to sit in the dugout, he is allowed to speak to his players in the dressing room during the ban.

As recently as Saturday, Ferguson was bullish about the battle that lay ahead, using his programme notes ahead of the Arsenal cup-tie to declare: 'I now face an FA charge for what, to my mind, was simply telling the truth. I will be defending myself strongly when my FA appeal hearing comes up.

'In fact, I am looking forward to the challenge because, to my mind, I have not said anything out of place, however much the media urge the FA to take action.

'The papers keep on and on about it because Manchester United are involved, and they failed to get the FA compliance unit to pick up on the Wayne Rooney incident in the Wigan game.

'I won't be on the back foot when I put my case to the FA, though. I don't think sticking up for my team makes me a villain, especially when you consider that Manchester United have one of the best disciplinary records in the country.'

There is certainly a school of thought that Ferguson has been harshly treated given he replaced the word 'fair' with 'strong' in his post-match interview with United's in-house station MUTV almost immediately.

However, it is also felt the Alan Wiley case, from which the two additional matches stem after Ferguson questioned his fitness following a home draw with Sunderland, was a warning to the United boss that any further transgressions would be dealt with severely, as has proved to be the case.

First Sinclair, now we get Fabio Borini, Thanks CHELSEA. I have done some research and seems like the kid is really good. Natural goalscorer.

Please give up on MacEachran soon.
