No one's shitting on him btw. I think most people believe that Floyd needs to use his time and money to invest in himself. Not saying he has to go earn a doctorate, but get a tutor and learn to read.

Yall don't see how problematic this is? Young black men everywhere look up to Floyd. By accepting his illiteracy as A-OK then we're basically telling our sons that illiteracy is fine as long as you can throw a ball, punch another nigga's lights out, sing/rap or run fast. Same shit whites told to the last generation. And it's certainly ok if you can "make good decisions" FOH we're already underrepresented in academia as is. Let's not perpetuate this shit man.

It may not seem important but highly educated whites are the people that have the power to spread misinformation about our people...that we're unintelligent, incapable of academic achievement, or morally inferior. Who do you think writes these stupid studies that paint us in a bad light? We need to encourage education in our kids and in ourselves so that we can dispel these myths and represent ourselves in a better light.

i am not saying be ok with it.

I am saying he is great at what he does, we found a flaw and lets help him become greater. Because those nigger hating other races will tear him down. I would like more people come at him to teach him to read rather than clown. we need to help our own become bigger than life rather than try to show they are below average because of our own insecurities.

As someone who is often a target of people looking for the dent in my armor, I have an idea of how he could feel.

think about it...

I agree we need to be seen in a better light and that why this should not have been brought to the forefront for ratings.

A lot of whites cant read but that is kept on the low and people help them. but we are fast to laugh at our own.

Now as far as the kids that look up to him, we should be teaching our own kids that he is the exception to the rule and education is needed. and with floyds work ethic he will learn to read in no time because he has a no quit attitude. but what about all the people with reading skills that have no work ethic? that cant be taught. if a nigga is lazy then he just lazy until he feels the need to work.

truth be told, give me millions and i will hire the best teach. then i can read and still have my money.

him learning to read at this point would be a great inspiration to alot that look up to him that even with money and fame,education is still important.

You can look at the whole Penn State scandal, Donald Sterlings reported dementia,you look at what's going on in Ferguson with all the love this cop is getting even though he clearly in the wrong. So on and so on.

I believe that Floyd has a reading disability. He sounds like the children I used to tutor, who had a hard time grasping the concept reading.

Some of these children were very smart, but there was an issue with them comprehending words and translating them to speech.

Some people are audio learners, who can understand and analyzing complex information by listening to the information.

People learn differently and I will not laugh or discriminate against their disability.
