I've been a few times with my son and father in law (he has been a fan since he was a boy). Its a different experience and the "tailgating" is the fun part. I liken it to going to a bad all game as opposed to watching it on tv. I had fun, but id never watch a race on tv.

Never been to NASCAR and not a racing fan
But got the opportunity to go see a Formula 1 race and chill in the Ferrari owners club
People from all over were there. And they spend a lot of money for it to not be a sport lol
I cared more about the free liquor and food than I did the race
Oh and all the stuff they gave us for being there
I'd go again if I could have a similar experience .... But I wouldn't pay to see a race
