So long story short. You gotta let them have both kind. My daughter is not going out with me with some dusty shoes on and I got on a fresh pair of whatever. It just doesn't look right.

thats exactly how my oldest was

always wanting the ugliest light up sketchers

but it changed when I got the KDs a few years back and older kids started complimenting her.

now its Jays & Lebrons and she calls me when out with my wife & grandma to get my ok before deciding on a pair.

I still got um in the closet, I was thinking of doing the same thing. I think im sold now they just gone be her going out with me shoes. Im glad yall replied and let me know I aint alone and this is normal. She been in the burbs her whole life so I was nervous. Ima just start getting her air maxes in the future though.

mine still dont care enough about it for me to buy anything too fancy

she likes options tho....I usually get her 2 or 3 moderately priced pair at a time so she can switch it up....I make sure I get a girly pair with colors, a black pair (both tennis) and then a pair of flats or sandals

the baby loves boots......thats what she goes for if it looks like we about to leave or her sister is about to go outside, she finna go get them boots on lol.....shorts, pants, diaper, it dont matter.....boots

but i pretty much give her the illusion of choice..

let her pick out what she wants to wear of the shit i already bought her..

my son has owned a good mix of shoes. Low tier stuff (light up spiderman shoes, payless stuff). Mid tier (stan smiths, new balances, vans) god mode: (jordan 1s, infrared 90s)

truthfully, he prefers the mid tier stuff. He'll wear the god mode stuff to match me. Those prestos are nice though. should look into getting him those.
