Congrats to "THE MATRIX". The Library of Congress has deemed "The Matrix" to be culturally significant and added it to it's National Film registry. Sorry but that's not happening with "Inception" so as I said, it's not "Matrix" level:

Still the best movie experience I've had in the theaters. This movie was great start to finish. Think I saw this 5-6 times that summer. And Reloaded was good up until the freeway chase, after that and Revolutions it was all downhill from there.

I'll give you Reloaded but Revolutions was a piece of shit. Absolutely hated it. Totally fucked up the trilogy IMO. But Reloaded was a good connecting film for the beginning and ending of the trilogy.

LOL, Yes You could say that. I'm a Stan of Legendary work. "The Matrix" changed the game and honestly is the closest thing to "Star Wars" as far as just the perfect movie where everything just works. You are with the hero all the way through. Keanu still can't escape playing Neo. Lord I hope they do another Trilogy or 2 more films. Matrix 4 and 5 in 3D. Lord have mercy.

Matrix was crazy, i remember my first time seeing it. At the end I instantly said "sooooo Neo is Jesus?"

The conversation of that had been going on forever before j saw it though.

100% Cosign. But in the Defense of The Wachowski's, they've always tried to push the evelope with their storytelling and film making. They are very anti-establishment. Look at "The Matrix", it was an original film at the time it came out. But Hollywood's obsession with Blockbusters (Thanks to George Lucas and Spielberg) won't end cause that ish is making them money but it's going to hurt smaller films like Steven said. Soon only Blockbusters will be on the Big Screen. As for a new Matrix Trilogy. I think they will do it. Keanu is still doing Action films and he's pushing 50. I think they will do a Matrix 4 and 5 by 2017 and 2019.

This Month marks the 15th Anniversary of the Original Matrix and now there is news that a New Trilogy is in the works that may start out as a Prequel of how the Matrix began and then go into possibly bringing Neo back:

When Keanu Reeves picked the red pill in "The Matrix," he kicked off an adventure that became bigger than anyone could have imagined. Not only did the Wachowskis' breakout 1999 blockbuster become a massive hit, it spawned a huge franchise with two sequels, video games and anime prequels. It was a major a pop culture phenomenon and if these reports are true, Warner Bros. wants the world to plug back in.

Latino Review is reporting that the Wachowskis are already at work on treatments and outlines for a new trilogy of Matrix films. Whoa! But hold up, these will apparently be prequels, and won't take into consideration the stories created for "The Animatrix." Warner Bros. apparently wants these movies ready so they can slug it out with "Avatar" and "Star Wars" in 2017. There are no other details, though LR say "one of the early outlines was about the birth of the Matrix."

Again, this is a rumor, so treat it as such, but there is some logic behind the idea that WB would want to give new life to one of their most valuable franchises. And certainly, after "Cloud Atlas" and "Speed Racer," the goodwill and big budgets the Wachowskis are still able to get may be running out (especially if "Jupiter Ascending" tanks). Thoughts? Let's just hope there are no rave scenes this time.

I've been screaming for years that there needs to be a new Matrix trilogy well after some under performing films from Keanu and The Wachowskis, it looks like it might happen. Warner Bros wants another Matrix Trilogy cause their huge Franchises "Harry Potter" and soon "The Hobbitt/Lord of the Rings" will be done and they won't be able to compete with the Star Wars, Hunger Games, Marvel, D.C's of the worlds. Make sense. But we kinda got a prequel with "The Animatrix" so I wonder will this will go. But Matrix with today's Effects?, Wow don't tell me that won't break records.
