I feel like the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Spider-Man will all be downplayed even more than they already have been recently as a result of this in favor of The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Immortals, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, etc.

I don't even understand how Sony has rights to Miles Morales. If Disney can get away with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver just by not calling them "mutants", why can't they just use the Ultimate Universe versions of some characters? They already do with Nick Fury.

This "Battle-World" seems just like the thing an Apocalypse would be around for. I don't know what happened with the kid, but with Arch-Angel gone, they'd need to pick a new one. I remember something about their being Celestials sleeping on Earth, waiting for the end of the world. Setting sounds like some survival of the fittest shit, so it makes sense one of those factors would come into play.

not quite. Marvel's past continuity won't change if i'm not mistaken. They've been planning an Ultimate Universe merger with the 616 for years. I guess they just decided to utilize all of their altnerate universe characters, which isn't a bad idea. It looks like this is a way to somewhat match up the comics with the movie continuity

I have a strong suspicion that this new "mashup of many different Marvel realities" is going to be one where the Fantastic Four don't do much and there are very few mutants.
