Q?uestlove said it best on the Beats, Rhymes, & Life documentary:

"Low End Theory brought the emergence of Phife Dawg as an MC"

Both, hard to choose. And Midnight Mauraders had one of the GOAT album covers. Hip hop heads from East to West coast represented on there

Both albums are classic, no doubt. Low End Theory was minimalist as hell, and it took time to appreciate this album in full grace for me. I stick with MM though. It just flows better and the production is definitely more accessible.

Damn Yall made me finally sign in for this one. Me and my peoples have been arguing for the last two years over this. All my people pick Low end theory, Shit in a 11grade(i'm dating myself) me and my boys didnt get run and we was at the end of the bench we called ourselves the lower end theory.(we won the ny state high school tournanment the next year with all of us starting. but anyway Midnight mauraders is like my 3rd favorite album of all time. I think lower end theory has the better songs but also the wacker songs. MM is just solid from front to back. I take the consistency of MM over the great highs of LET.

Growing up it was always Midnight Marauders for me but recently I've been more into Low End.. It has more classic cuts to me.

Both classic albums.

Out of curiousity, what wack songs you thought were on Low End Theory?

Both are classics. But I gotta go with Midnight Marauders.

"Lyrics to Go" is my favorite track off the album.

Man I can hit repeat on that song right there. And the way he flipped that Minnie Ripperton "Inside my Love", shit's genius.

Midnight Marauders is my favorite hip hop album. Phife Dawg gave more to this album and that's why it's better than all other Tribe albums. Look at "Electric Relaxation," It's a classic song and Phife has the hottest verse and most memorable line - "Bust off on ya couch now you got Semen's furniture." ATCQ is easily one of the best groups ever.

Keep It Rollin >>>>>

If I had to choose between the two I'm going with TLET. Check the Rhime is one of their classic songs that I will always remember them by.

Man yo this like choosing your favorite kid.....either way both classics. People genuinely waited for Tribe albums to drop. I'm sorry I can't choose real shit.

Ironically *Goes back to watching Beats Rhymes and Life"

I have to go with Midnight Marauders. Production wise it is much more musically superior, the album is an experience. I personally prefer The Low End theory but it is just a banging album; a great listen not an experience.
