Even though its on stillmatic.....it is my favorite song from nas

One of Nas best song of all time, IMO ..

STILLmatic was that shit.

1.) One Mic

2.) Your the Man

3.) What Goes Around

And the last verse on "Every Ghetto", was probably the best verse on the whole album.

Wait .. i dont have that song on my copy of STILLmatic ...???

It was on the early copies of the album. I bought my copy when the album first came out in 01, then they took it off. It was the song right after "The Flyest" with AZ.

Lost Tapes is definitely better than Blueprint. "Purple", "Doo Rags", "U Gotta Love It", "My Way", "Nothing Lasts Forever", "Black Zombies", "Fetus", "No Idea's Original" and "Drunk By Myself" are better than "You Don't Know", "Heart of the City", "Never Change", "Girls, Girls, Girls", "Renegade", "Izzo", "Takeover", "Lyrical Exercise" and "Song Cry". Those were my favorite songs from both albums. I'd even say the production on the albums are about even. Aside from "Everybody's Crazy" and "Fetus" just being a bonus, Lost Tapes is nearly flawless.

Blueprint is a classic album that changed Hip Hop, but it's inferior to Lost Tapes, song for song even if by a slight margin.

To me, Lost Tapes plays like an album even though it has songs that were meant for two different albums. The theme is mainly autobiographical and reminsicing on the past. The vibe of Lost Tapes also gives off that reminiscent, memory lane type feel. IMO, Lost Tapes is Nas's most thematically sound album even though it has songs on it from two different albums. I guarantee that if Nas slapped a proper title on Lost Tapes and people didn't know that some of the songs were meant for other albums, people wouldn't think of it as a compilation.

Cosign Georgia boi. Not only is Lost Tapes Classic but a top 20 album in Hiphop History. See, Beats made BP1 Classic just like Doggystyle & both Chronics. Lyrically, Jay wuz jus average xcept on 'Lyrical Exercise', 'Takeover' & 'Renegade'. Song for Song Lost Tapes is clearly the superior LP. joints like Purple,Blaze a 50,Doorags,Drunk by myself,Poppa wuz a playa,No Ideas original are better than anythin on BP1...matter of fact Lost Tapes is one of the most well rounded records in years..It had Conscious Records,Street Joints,Creative & mind blowing story tellin tracks,Political & introspective songs...also had songs that focussed on betrayal, dreams etc...Niggaz sleep on Lost Tapes cuz it wuznt an official release. This record is better than College Dropout,Blueprint,Stillmatic,Be,Food & Liqour & every other record that came out in the last 12 years...

The Lost Tapes and Stillmatic are both better than The Blueprint. However The Blueprint is a solid 8.5 out of 10 for me, The Lost Tapes and Stillmatic were just mind boggling shit for real.

um i guess that my avatar doesnt make it clear that im a girl and i dont mess with chicks. but who you fuck has nothing to do with how good your music is. i have lots of respect for what you say, and i dont think the blueprint is the worst album going, im just saying...

my bad...didn't know that was you. I guess that fact kills my whole point. I know who you fuck has nothing to do with good music. I thought you were a dude so I was commenting on you talking about another guy's looks. with you being a woman, it makes perfect sense. and you liking lost tapes more makes sense because I banged it for about 4 mths straight when I got it. I just think blueprint had more of an album feel to it, but you can't go wrong with either one in my opinion.
