The Legend of Korra: Season 4

Underwhelming ending to be honest. I understand they wanted to complete Korra's personal journey of maturation but her appealing to "feels" should have been only part of it. Kuvira's bending should have been taken away. Period.

Also, I told yall Korra would not be reconnecting with her past lives. Vaatu wiped them out of Raava. The animation and score were great but they did too much in separating this series from ATLA. We got like !% Fire Nation sightings, a half assed reference to Aang, and no mention of Raava, Vaatu, or anything Avatar related. But then we get a heavy handed Korra and Asami scene where they might as well have kissed.

This felt like more of a season finale as opposed to a series finale. I get they're going to continue the story in comic book form but as a series finale, we should have gotten more. This season barely had a story and it suffered from the writers either not knowing how international politics work or dumbing it down for a Nick audience.

I'm not trashing it. It's one of the best animated cartoons I've ever seen. I just see the potential for how much better it could have been.

I will say this though, I kinda wish instead of Nick putining them in that fucked up situation where they had to make that clip show epsiode, they could have used it to do a real flashback epsiode, explaining why the GAang took over parts of the Earth Kingdom without permission, as Kuvira had said many times during the season...

Mako did the most in this epsiode than he has in the whole damn season, I kinda thought he was gonna have a Zuko moment and not redirect the lighting properly, props to him for almost dying and coming through...

Props to Asami's dad for actually dying like a squashed misqutoe...

The Kuvira and Korra fight was dope too, so was all the interactions from all the characters, glad they just didn't sit on the sidelines...

Kuvira was too trill though, she broke the dimensions trying to kill Korra, so dope...

Great series finale imo

IIRC, RC was taken over by the fire nation during the 100 year war. There were both fire nation and earth kingdom folks living there. The former king of Ba Sing Se (that guy with the bear and the queen's dad) gave Aang and Zuko his blessing to use the land to build the city. I'm not sure if this was mentioned in the comics or in that first season.

If I had one of those clapping gifs handy, I'd have to use it for this. Mike & Byrke did "the thing" as Varrick would say. It seems like the finales for both went in the opposite direction of the characters original personalities. Aang was a pacifist. didn't really like fighting, but in the end he went nuts on Ozai. Whereas Korras was a hothead in the beginning and welcomed anyone who wanted to step in the ring with her. Over the years she grew and matured and even though she could've really dogwalked Kuvira, she chose to talk with her and allowed Kuvira to see why the path she chose was wrong. I can actually see both Zaheer and Kuvira being Korra's allies in the future. Everyone got to shine in the end. I thought it was beautifully done.

Great action and I concur this show is the best action animated weekly cartoon of all time. Aside from the main character getting completely washed in most fights, I feel like the gay thing is what got Nickelodeon to Invader Zim this. They probably pitched the entire show front to back, glazed over the gay part, and then tried to pull this Buffy the Vampire Willow goes gay angle with Korra, and the suits saw dollar signs burning.

In a world where little girls are playing football and making magazine covers for pitching, I don't see how Korra isn't the quintessential action Barbie. Unless it's because she's gay.

The whole character got turned into a cliche: Hyper tough, ready-to-fight chick gets an Ellen DeGeneres haircut, writes the chick who snatched her boyfriend (or she snatched? I forget) while she was in a coma, and ultimately snatches said chick who, by the way, mainly wears pants suits despite being a feminine mechanic.

Wish the show would've got more time to shine and Korra got to throw them hands more competently like she did in this last episode, but it is what it is. Hope they do a new one.

It was mentioned when the earth queen said they took advantage of her father and took the land.

I won't blame the writers as much as it will Nickelodeon for having them on a time constraint unlike ATLA. The original had ample time to set the characters and story up unlike this series.

Nickelodeon doesnt care about Avatar fans

show wasn't as good as atla

Mako,Lin, and Bolin ended up being the best characters

Worst character was actually Korra

Seems like every season they abandon her develop to get her to learn some new message that doesn't fit with what she previously learned.

Show had some great fight scenes though

Kuvira seemed so stone cold this whole season. One mention of her past from Korra and she breaks down like a child. Y'all don't find that offsetting?
