Personally, I think the problem with the Roc was, you was either real close to Jay or you was real close to Dame. Dipset ain't really fuck with Jay, Bleek tolerated Dame, etc etc. Niggas was all reppin' the Roc, but it meant something different to each one of them.

Dame was a music manager and party promoter he would have been fine. 2 Dame business endeavors failed because he thought he had the Midas touch smh and by that time his reputation was tarnished. The reason why Dame acted like he did was prolly due to the chip on his shoulders he had from the early Jay/ROC days. so maybe he wouldnt been such an asshole if he aint had to go through that idk

I think that Camron shit kicked off it all, how you gonna come on the mans label (Juelz) taking about "one time for Cam taking over the Roc" and not expect niggas to feel some type of way, especially with Cam and Dames prior relationship. That would be the equivalent to when Dame would get pissed at Lyor for telling Jay he would give him full control of Rocafella behind Dames back.

Their was a Bleek interview where he said the same thing. I think he said it was on the set of the "Change Clothes" video where he & Dame got into it & Dame said some outta left shit to him. So Bleek went to Jay like u need to get this nigga and Jay was basically like "dont worry. U wont have to worry about him soon".

They tore the paper down the middle, one half went with Jay, the other half went with Dame. Sparks said the only artist on Jay's half of the paper was Freeway and the Young Gunz, everybody else had to go with Dame, but NOBODY wanted to go with Dame except Dipset.
